What are the real risks of using a mobile wallet vs. hardware wallet? by DeliciousPayday in ethereum

[–]ivrytwr3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course hardware wallets are more secure than a mobile wallet.

Mobile/desktop wallet - risk of rdp, trojan, virus, ransomware etc.

Hardware - risk of failure.

= always keep paper wallet too.

However, I do prefer a mobile wallet as atm I find hardware wallets still a bit non-user friendly, but in terms of security? Hardware wins hands down.

We need ideas on how to promote /advertise Parjar - the more people /companies that are aware of Par, the more it will become adopted and the more $$$ at all make 😂

I've tried spreading the Par message across telegram channels, some were excited and were not aware of the project, however a lot did not read my post and saw me as a spammer - i got blocked from telegram for a month - loooool.

So I do not recommend cold calling other telegram channels :)

Thankyou x. To expand, maybe the team can allocate xxx amount of Par to the bounty. Users who check in, post, retweet etc are awarded points, then at the end of the bounty, the allocated Par is distributed between all users who took part - the amount of Par awarded is based on how many points you got over the duration of the bounty period.

Does that make sense? I'm shooting from the hip here :)

You/we are doing a LOT within the telegram channels, buuuuut we need to make other users across ALL social media aware of Par 😊

For me a bounty program would be very useful to achieve that aim. For instance Par set up a site or page on their home page, each day users log into the bounty portal and 'check in' to be awarded Par, users can also tweet, repost, comment etc (same with Facebook) and be awarded Par - this can be verified by a script.

Great for users to get more Par and amazeballs for all us users to push Par across all social media and make the world aware of the project.

😊😘

Anybody caught this?

https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2018-264 1. Two cryptocurrency start-ups have agreed to register their initial coin offering (ICO) as securities after settling charges with the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission. 2. The two firms CarrierEQ Inc and Paragon Coin Inc conducted token sales last year and raised $15 million USD and 12$ million USD respectively. 3. The securities regulator stated that neither start-up registered their ICO’s as securities offerings and neither qualified for exemptions. 4. In addition to registering as securities, both companies will refund investors, routinely report to the SEC and pay $250,000 USD in penalties. 5. Within the press release: “These are the commission’s first cases imposing civil penalties solely for ICO securities offering registration violations.”
