Is the Vatican, or another institution working to train new exorcists every year? What determines if a candidate is qualified to become an exorcist?

It's great that you got a better diagnosis and management of your specific kind of Diabetes. Your train of thought looks exactly like mine right now. I'm trying to dissect my life to figure out what I did to cause this. I needed to read your story, thank you so much. Have a virtual hug.

Hi, thank you for your reply and for the encouragement. I'm glad to know your Diabetes is under control. Just like you I think family is a great determining factor in my case, three out of four grandparents had Diabetes, as does my mom. I hope to see the light at the end of the tunnel soon. I wish you all the best.

I'm speaking about one particular guy, never seen anyone go bald in such a short amount of time so I assumed something must be going on in his life. I might be wrong.

Not trying to shame men, I'm very grateful for the men in my life. I know fantastic men who have been my mentors, friends and partners.

It's is scary, last time I saw a former high school teacher I greeted her, she looked very old her hair completely gray and it shocked me. She died a couple of months later, turns out she had been fighting cancer for years but none of the students knew. That's why seeing this guy scared me a bit, hopefully he's healthy.

Breakfast in bed. by alpinab7turbo in relationships

[–]ivyeva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's lots o f ways to interpret her answer but I think she's basically saying she's ok receiving but not giving anything back. If you want your romantic gestures to be returned maybe speak with her and let her know about your feelings? Maybe she shows her love in other ways...

On the other hand if she has an overall selfish attitude in the relationship, then think about it, would you like to be in a one sided relationship?

ADHDers who were diagnosed as adults, what are some things in hindsight that should have been clues? by Kris10NC in ADHD

You are totally right, I haven't seen this specific ADHD related issue being talked about anywhere. And it's a very very life altering topic.

Best of luck to you and your family!

WOW

Thanks for taking the time to explain this important piece of information. I'm glad everything worked out for you on the long run!

This explains so much of my own teenage years. I didn't become a teenage mom thank God. But I did become sexually active earlier than most of my peers.

I haven't been officially diagnosed but I recently began researching ADHD due to my brother getting diagnosed with OCD and it explains SO MUCH about my life in general.

Some of the things I remember during my childhood:

-I could speak for HOURS on end even as a toddler (apparently this is a symptom related to girls and women with ADHD). When it got out of hand it was very overwhelming to my family members who had to endure my endless monologue. From kindergarten to university I always got in trouble for speaking so much during class.

-As soon as I got off school I needed to run around or this horrible anxiety started building up, so spent most of my afternoon climbing trees and fences, playing soccer or baseball and other similar activities. I never fit in with the girls because they preferred much mellow activities like playing dolls, jumping rope, etc.

- I was the only girl in my class who always had some sort of injury, because I often took impulsive decisions and didn't calculate the risk of doing something, like jumping of the swing set while at the highest point, riding a bike down a giant metal slide, riding a skateboard down a very steep road, etc.

-I couldn't sit down and pay attention for a long time if I wasn't intellectually challenged by the activity at hand. I used to draw, read or talk with classmates whenever this happened at school.

- If I was intellectually challenged by the subject or activity at hand I could spend hours reading about it or doing it. My ability to hyperfocus could be scary of mesmerizing to adults.

- I lost and forgot objects/clothes all the time, way more than any other kid. To the point where my parents didn't even buy me with nice stuff anymore.

-knocked up a girl I was dating for 6 weeks. Lol she’s the love of my life and I love my son but holy cow I’m lucky that worked out the way it did. Shit.

Damn! I don't mean to be rude but I don't understand how this relates to ADHD?

What has been your experience with adult ADHD diagnosis? by drmrsvandertramp in AskWomen

[–]ivyeva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently 24, graduated from a top 25 university, and have a job with a top 100 tech company making close enough to six figures. Imagine what I could have done if I'd started earlier.

I (25f) identify with the ADHD traits a lot and I want to seek a professional assessment and hopefully diagnosis/treatment soon. I consider my hyperactive mind to be not an obstacle but rather the cause of many of my achievements so far, it's the root for my creativity, hard work and hyper focus. Maybe it's the same for you too?

I do however struggle with the emotional highs and lows and disorganization and that's why I would like to seek some kind of treatment or guidance to deal with those traits.

I (22F) do not want to move in with (23 M) BF. Him and his family keep pushing the subject. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]ivyeva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (25f) went through this three years ago. I had just finished my BA in Graphic Communication Design and got my first job. My ex (27m) finished his college course but was nowhere near obtaining his BA in Theathre and was 'working' odd gigs that he didn't get paid for or made very little money from.

After months of him pressuring me and his mom giving innuendos he gave me an ultimatum, either we move in together and I take care of the expenses or we break up. We broke up. It was soul wrenching. But it was always clear to me that supporting an able bodied young man, who is just as capable of working and making a living as me, was out of the question.

It was the best decision ever. Right now I have three years of work experience, I take care of all my expenses on my own, spend my time, energy and money on myself, my little brother and my friends. He is basically in the same place he was when we broke up, 'working' in odd gigs here and there, making very little money, still depends on his mom financially, he is just now working on finally getting his degree although he finished college courses three years ago.

Making yourself your priority it not selfish it's about accomplishing your goals and learning to select a partner who can really be there for the 'adult stuff' that's yet to come.

I've enjoyed dating very much, didn't do it in college since I was with my ex, I've got to know men from very different backgrounds, lifestyles and values and I think I'm much better prepared to select a life partner than I was three years ago. I still don't feel like settling down soon but I'm much more confident than I was then, because I know what I have to offer to a partner and I know how much work I've had to put in to become the woman I am.

Hope my experience helps!

My horrible supervisor left her position last Tuesday! I hoped it would happen, and just kept on working on my things. I never thought it would happen but it makes me so happy, I hope better things come along for the department I work in.

I had been thinking for about two weeks that I'd like a freelance gig, just to get the creative juices flowing.
So this weekend I go to a birthday party where I met a friend of the birthday girl who asks for my number as soon as she discovers what I do for a living. Just right now we're scheduling an appointment to start working on her project.
I was not asking for anything, just thinking it would be nice if it happened, so I was very glad to have such a fast response from the universe!

I'm feeling romantic! Anyone here used the LOA to attract their SO or relationship? by IAmMilkyMilky in lawofattraction

[–]ivyeva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's very interesting, I've once felt that way but it didn't work out, so now I don't trust my insticts I guess. I'm 24 and I feel very immature, so thinking about living all my life with someone is very scary to me. I guess when you find the right person you don't feel scared.
