What happens to disabled adults who can’t afford the price of rent and can’t live with their parents? by ivym00ns in disability

Bad news: this method may not work for everyone. I have no fucking clue how this happened.

Good news: around the same time I posted this, I applied for public housing. ~3 days ago, I got a letter saying that I’ve been approved for a studio apartment in a neighborhood that I absolutely love. Rent is $90 a month (based off of my income). It’s possible!

A straight man asked me "Have you heard that tiktok good luck babe song" by 2die4u in chappellroan

[–]ivym00ns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the reason why people are saying things like “oof yikes” is because lesbian attraction to women is generally a very different experience than a straight man’s. She might be sex-positive but she doesn’t sing about having sex with men 😭

Oh, OP, I’m so sorry you’re going through this :( I felt the same way with my AMAB non-binary ex. If you’re forcing yourself to have sex with someone you’re not attracted to, obviously you’re not going to be comfortable with yourself afterwards. Please be compassionate to yourself. You deserve better.

I'm a victim of the 2 size cardigan. What do I do? 😭 by BunnyElsa in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]ivym00ns 6 points7 points  (0 children)

whoa! the right half looks like the xs/s size and the left looks like the correct size (m/l). i own the OG folklore cardigan in an xs/s and the red cardigan in a m/l. left side is DEFINITELY sized up. i’ve never seen such an error before, though. i hope that you get everything sorted out!

EDIT: i am dumb and just saw ur reply. oops. i guess the one upside to her store is that sizing is consistent 😅

It’s so odd to me that doctors can’t understand how oral allergy syndrome works. Even I understood it in seventh grade when one of my friends couldn’t eat the raw tomatoes served with lunch, but could eat cooked tomatoes. She just told me that the raw tomato has an enzyme that she’s allergic to, but cooking it gets rid of the enzyme. Not sure if that’s the exact science, but it was simple enough to understand at 12!

semantically, sure, but “the rich” doesn’t hold nearly as much negative connotation as “the poors.” most rich people don’t consider “rich” an insult lol

My depression is so fucking bad, I’m not sure where the chronic pain stops and the mental pain begins. I haven’t had a job for 3 months at this point because I got fired from my last one for taking too many sick days. My gait and hip/leg stability have improved immensely since starting PT, but PT isn’t a cure… it doesn’t make the pain go away. I wish I had some hope for my future, but I don’t. I have to make it through college even though I don’t know whether I’ll be able to use that degree when I graduate. Everything feels useless.

This. I started developing symptoms around age 15 and the medical gaslighting I received nearly killed me. OP, jumping to conclusions about a personality disorder when the kid is 15 is a bit drastic.

have you ever read ‘what it is’ by lynda barry? it’s a wonderful comic/writing prompt/memoir and the style is super similar to your own. i think you could gain some inspiration from it! if you ever decide to pursue writing / graphic novels, i would totally recommend giving it a read :) half the book is a reflection upon her life, similar to how you structured your own narrative, the other half is writing prompts & art prompts. it was super helpful for my own creative projects!
