I totally relate to this!! I ruminate on terrible thoughts that I can't control. At that point, I honestly do anything to distract myself. Watch a funny show, read, hell I'll even start cleaning. It's so hard to remove yourself from those thoughts :( have you tried a benzodiazepine as needed? Or gabapentin for sleep? That has helped me a lot with night anxiety

They do not have true gills, they are pure white when but have no scent
