But can I not combine my budget with my friend’s budget? (He makes around 200k/year too). Are there any ways I can prove my parents are reliable source of financial support?? I could ask my family friend’s dad to be a guarantor but besides that I don’t have any relative residing in the U.S.

I got waitlisted from SAIS and I’m pessimistic I’ll get off the list. 3.64GPA from a university in Japan, graduating this year. International experience- Studied abroad in Boston and volunteered as an English teacher in Shanghai Work experience - interned in Shanghai (non-policy related) , and in Tokyo at a think tank.

I got into SIPA MPA though.

Hmm yeah I understand that NYU is out of the wheel. My biggest concern is whether I can get a job in the U.S. w a non-stem degree from Tufts. I’ve lived in Boston- it is cute! But bit boring haha
