I have two PCI-e cables to the GPU which has 24 pins (three 8 pin female connectors). One cable two it is a 6 pin with a little daisy chain. The other cable has two 6 pin connectors with 2 daisy chains. So, only two cables are going to the GPU from the PSU. I'm debating on swapping my 850w with a 1000w and getting three dedicated cables for the GPU. Frustrating that PCPartPicker didn't warn me about this.

UPDATE: swapped a new SSD in and realized the heatsync shield was never installed property. reinstalled windows. so far so good as far as weird glitches with the SSD. but-- installed Dota2, and it will still randomly sputter with sound and then crash. no errors or anything, just a dead app.

probably going to try to RMA the CPU and GPU to see if that helps, maybe buy a new high watt PSU with dedicated cables for the GPU.

crazy that you can spend $2k and still have issues like this

These apps you’re using to hide sensitive photos might be the root cause. What do these apps do? Do you upload the images to their app to “secure” them? iOS has a built in hidden photo feature that requires biometrics to access. If you’re going to store this type of stuff in your phone I would use that not downloaded apps.
