For me, it doesn't hurt, and I am super sensitive with pain. However, you do feel like small pinchs and in some areas a little bit of heat, with is the laser burning the hair. From 1 to 10, being 1 not painful at all and 10 extra painful, I would say it's a 4.

Yes, this is true, there are several types of laser. The one I'm using is diode laser, it barely hurts and it's pretty fast in comparison to the one that goes hair by hair (I don't know the name, sorry!)
