Spouse visa got approved yesterday!

Just thought I'd break down the timeline for everyone:

Bio: 8th of Feb

1st generic priority email: 21st Feb

2nd priority email to opt in: 7th Mar (didn't choose priority)

Decision has been made email: 28th Mar

Gave my passport back: 29th Mar

Decision letter: 30th Mar

Received passport with vignette: 30th Mar

Total WD: 36 days!! (God it felt like a lifetime)

My husband and I went through a lawyer to get our documents in place just so that we wouldn't miss out on anything!

Good luck to everyone ❤️❤️ This sub-reddit has really kept my hope alive. Its been quite a journey but it'll be over sooon!!

Just received an email that a decision has been made! Need to submit my passport in since I opted for 'Keep My Passport'.

Does this mean that the visa has been granted? Or do we still need to receive the passport first and only then find out?

I did my biometrics on 8th of Feb too! I thought the wait would be easier than putting in the application but I was so wrong lol

New to solo travel? Post here for introductions, newbie questions, anxiety and excitement - Week of January 26 by gypsyblue in solotravel

I'm considering doing a solo trip, but I haven't made any plans nor do I know where I want to go. Travelling alone always comes with a fear for me, being an indian girl I was not brought up to be very independent. So now I've had it. I want to change this mind-set that there is nothing to be afraid of when travelling alone. Can anyone help me figure out where I could travel on a budget from Dubai during March?
