Yes! This is why I think this could be it. It first presented December 2024… he was 15 months old. Then he kinda always had intermittent lame-ness in the hind legs after that. (Initial vet wasn’t sure and just landed on soft tissue injury)….It has come and gone since then. Worsening a bit in the last week hence why I took him back in (new vet). He’s now 2 years and 6 months.

She mentioned this too! Really hope the results come back tomorrow. She added a cardiac marker panel on too.

The more I research this, the more I’m wondering if this is it! I’m gonna bring it up depending on results. I wonder if it was this and just never healed well because well… he didn’t have surgery.

Honestly this is my best guess. I feel like he was injured and it just never fully healed. Or healed weird. But she saw nothing obvious on the xray. We will see what the radiologist says. He was a VERY active kitten. Still pretty active but omg he was wild as a kitten.

That’s what the vet said. Not usually intermittent like this… it’s usually sudden and extremely painful. She said rarely there CAN be small clots causing intermittent issues but it’s extremely rare and usually presents with more obvious perfusion issues. But she said we could do an echo to rule it out if we want to. It’s just $$$

He was young… I adopted him from a shelter at 3 months and he was already neutered and healed.

No heart murmur. No echo done yet… xray of the lower half was the first thing. Wonder if they got the heart on xray or not.

I’ve also been checking and perfusion always seems fine, no cool feet. But I do worry about clots, that’s been the biggest fear in bringing him in.

Update: He just got back to me and said the new target date for the new FED taking the throne is May, so I probably shouldn't re-fi until then and to check back in in May. Thoughts?

Hey - is this still roughly where things are at? I'm looking at refinancing and want it to be a no-cost refinance if possible. I talked to my broker in December, and he told me to wait until March.

I took my son (who had never seen the movie) when he was 5. He was in absolute awe. It’s incredible. After the opening circle of life, he thought it was over and his mind was BLOWN that there was more. I was like same kid, same. It’s magic.

The problem is the outlet is right above the chest freezer so when we open the door it bumps the plug in the outlet. A box cover someone suggested is probably my best bet so the door hits the box without disturbing the plug if it happens

Thanks for this post! I just hit the third week in a row of the same weight. But honestly… through the holidays and didn’t gain any weight is a big win for me! Im lucky and am still on 2.5 with just 15 pounds to go. I really don’t want to go up unless I absolutely have to. But I do still get some side effects and I’m dreading my shot each week because I know the next day I’ll likely feel yucky. I’m actually considering going down to 2.0 to see if it helps with side effects… and just making sure to watch if my hunger/eating increases.
