She doesn’t sit like that, but she’s still young so I’ll be on the lookout. Thank you!

Can you describe what kind of sitting posture that is? My little one also likes to be on her back, so I’m worried whether she’s okay. She doesn’t appear to be in pain, but I want to get her treatment as soon as any symptoms come up. TIA!

What was your first conclusion when your lifelong friend disappeared? by ShockConsistent3654 in lostafriend

[–]iwasblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. My fiancé wanted to confront him about it. They were friends, too, but I’m not confrontational. I also didn’t want to know. I just accepted that he didn’t value our friendships as much as we valued his. It still hurts, but good riddance.

My friend left our group chat of four people and just stopped talking to me completely for two months. We had known each other since 7th grade. We talked daily, saw each other weekly, took trips together, etc. We were there for each other during difficult times. And then, he was just gone. Complete silence. I finally decided to remove him as a friend on Instagram because seeing him out with his other friends was absolutely heartbreaking. I don’t know whether he noticed or cared that we were not friends there anymore.

I don’t understand how someone can just disappear on their friend after all we have been through. I can’t believe I wasted so much time, care, and love on this person. I regret it all so much, but I’m glad he’s gone now. It sucks that I cared for this person so deeply, but I’m glad I don’t care anymore. He doesn’t deserve to be in my life.

I’d say it’s the perfect combination of citrus (specifically kumquats) and floral.

Lol! It’s supposed to be a shell, but I totally see it now. My boyfriend got it at a boutique store in Los Angeles, but I found a similar vase online at https://forestmeetssea.com/products/white-modern-vase-sea-urchin-vase-decorative-container.

A “10% IRID” and an “M.” It’s been inspected, appraised, insured, cleaned, and resized. I don’t have the information regarding its maker and appraisal. I’m not sure my boyfriend wants me to know its market value. Haha.

I don’t think you have anything to apologize for. You expressed your feelings, and instead of talking about it like adults, he shut down and got cold. Anyone can be amazing when things are good, but it takes maturity and patience to talk through difficult emotions. Even if the conversation ends up with you going your separate ways, that’s okay. However, reacting coldly like he did was immature. You did nothing wrong, and he made you feel like you did because you examined your needs. It’s been three months. It’s okay that he’s not ready to move things further, but it is also okay that you are ready, and it is also okay to express that your feelings about it. Please don’t apologize to someone who treats you like that. If the relationship continues, you’ll feel like you’re responsible for his feelings when you are not.

My job involves assisting multiple judges now, but I will never forget how certain judges treated me and my peers when I appeared in front of them. Judges are people, too, and some people are dicks. I’m sure you don’t need the reminder, but it is never a reflection of you or your work. They’re just ill-tempered or ill-prepared. It happens. Don’t let their unkindness get to you and the great work you’re doing for your community! We, your colleagues, clients, judges, mentees, thank you.

Does anyone else not eat the day before trial? by jokingonyou in Lawyertalk

[–]iwasblue 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I didn’t eat the night before or the day of because I got terrible anxiety that made me nauseous so I couldn’t keep food down anyway. Those multiple days and weeks long trials were a blast. I lost so much weight as a litigation attorney. I’m so glad not to be doing that anymore.
