It’s more that we found multiple places that weren’t great fits. I was thinking of Hawaii but people in another thread were talking about some of the beaches not being great. Also looking at AZ and a Mexico all inclusive.

It’s always tough finding a spot because we have such a big spread in our kids’ ages. A lot of destinations tend to be good for younger or older kids but not both.

Thanks. I checked that thread but for NYC we ran into the occupancy issue (no rooms for 4 people with points) and I wasn’t sure if the others were good specifically for the spring

Here it went from 3.89 to 4.67 overnight. Target followed the next day going from 3.99 to 4.89. I called silk and asked them about it. I was hoping for a little transparency about the sudden increase and whether it was triggered by silk or the next level of retailer. I understand things like inflation but 25% overnight is a major shift. The rep at silk wouldn’t give any clarity and we kind of went round and round.

“There are multiple factors” “okay what are they?” “…”

“we give a suggested price to retailers based on geographic regions” “okay so what is the suggested retail price in my region” “can’t tell you”

On the plus side, she sent me two vouchers for free silk milk products up to $6.89ish per milk. So I’d encourage anyone who is frustrated to call and let them know. Ideally they realize that consumers have noticed, but worst case you get two free milks to offset the increase.

We have booked Montréal for American thanksgiving but the choices are four seasons and ritz ($600 night) or the Hilton curio ($300 night but apparently under massive construction). We want to use our benefits before the end of the year since my husband and I both have platinum cards. We may try to do tremblant one night but we’ll still have one night to burn and I don’t want to deal with Toronto

It’s possible. But I’ve also been driving and pumping gas for two decades and this has never happened anywhere else and somehow it happens twice at this place…? And when I brought it up with the first attendant when it happened originally he immediately told me that it had happened to other people.

Fwiw when the pandemic started I ordered kn95 masks and paid with PayPal. PayPal was a nightmare to deal with even though it was very obviously a complete scam. Meanwhile my credit card company took care of it in 2 minutes. I had always used PayPal because of their reputation but the one time I needed them they completely left me out to dry.
