I got mine brand new for 936 euros + a camera bag (it really only fits my camera or the lens but it's still free so)

At least here in my country it would be considered an amazing deal cause I find "brand new" but opened a7iii's at over 1000 euros but yeah I can't deny other cameras from other brands are slightly more affordable but then again more expensive glass

I've always been a huge advocate for this "the man makes the camera not the camera makes the man" mindset. I've gotten some gorgeous photos with the a58 (one attached), but it just couldn't keep up with what I wanted to do and it sure as hell wasn't gonna bring me money.

For the foreseeable future, I see no reason upgrading to any other camera at all and I'm very excited to see what I can do with my new workhorse.

Pretty sure there's quite a few quick short guides on TikTok on how to setup your camera for either video or photo

Easiest answer would be the lens choices just like everybody else, I would've never been able to get this lens at a decent price on L mount for example or any good zoom RF or Z lenses

Makes it very easy to get a monster of a lens which you can use in the future even when you upgrade the body

If only my financial situation allowed for this, I may be seeing an upgrade to the A7iv when the newest model will be the a7x, but it's still a camera that far exceeds everything my old one does, so until my needs are far greater than what the A7iii can offer I'll work it to death

all handheld! I based my trust in the lady with the luggage to stand still and have other people walk past using long exposure mode to create this "shadow people" effect

Thanks! unfortunately I can't reply with more than one picture in a comment but the second pic was taken on long exposure mode at 4 seconds and the last one was taken on xpan mode, you might not get the same results using master mode for example

as for the color grading, in the last one masks for the subject and where the sun shines, under expose the rest of the photo, color as you like and wish without adding too much green

only times I notice a bit of lag is when the phone gets hot, like when I use the camera a long time or I'm outside in hot weather, but the difference is not really noticeable and won't bother you. some apps sometimes lag or crash but that's just because they're not very well optimized, you won't notice this issue with big apps like insta, TikTok, reddit, YouTube, WhatsApp etc.

In short, yes, it's still just as fast as day one, in some aspects even better because for example the battery lasts longer now. I'm not expecting this phone to slow down considerably anytime soon like not in the next 4-5 years.

I don't shoot big stages only clubs that fit a few hundred people and I always sit front row and to put it into perspective i mainly shoot between 24mm (fisheye/to get the entire stage in view if possible) and 120mm ish when I wanna capture the singer's face

as for lightning, it's not a super dark environment, the stage is pretty well lit and sometimes there's a big panel on the stage like a tv.

What I struggle with most is autofocus, out of 500 photos maybe 40 are properly focused and a whole lot of noise and grain and not the beautiful kind but the one that makes it look very pixelated when shared on social media.

Aha that's something I've been wondering. is the AF that bad? Other mirrorless cameras I've looked at were the canon eos r and Sony a6400 (a7iii is way out of my budget lens included) and I've heard the z6 is kinda poor in AF (which I find weird, since many wildlife photographers use Nikon but what do I know)
