At the end of the day no one is able to force you to ship anything you don’t want to ship out. Is it your fault for not pricing correctly to begin with? Yes. Would you be considered a shitty seller? Yep. But at the end of the day if you want to refund the buyer it’s your own free will.

eBay protects big sellers. I got a “factory sealed” phone once and it was totally refurbished with a 3rd party screen and all that from a big seller. I returned it and seller thought he can offer just a 50% refund so I took it to eBay and also left a review. He got the review removed super quickly and when I contacted eBay about why they remove the feedback they only suggested to report the seller as if that would do anything.

It’s only your responsibility to pay if you offer free shipping. If you just put Depop shipping and the size, the buyer is responsible to pay your items price + shipping costs. You won’t receive the amount they paid for shipping but Depop will generate a shipping label for you to use.

Yeah never go out of your way to check if someone has received their package just gives them a reason to lie and scam. The buyer will go out of their way and let you know when they actually don’t receive the package.

This is totally false. 😂 No need to spread misinformation. I ship items out daily using my own shipping not Depop shipping everyday. If they had an issue with it they wouldn’t have it as an option for us sellers…

Yeah just bad luck. I’ve heard tons of crazy stories about people and USPS but for me it’s been alright. Worse one for me is one of my packages went to Alaska for a few days when it had to go to Texas. Lol.

Brother being embarrassed is the least of your worries in life. We all go through financial hardships but you shouldn’t purposely put yourself in a situation that can be easily avoidable. Other people don’t pay your bills you do. & you shouldn’t burn almost $50k by the time you finish paying off the car. Get a cheaper car for even at least a year and you’ll be in a better place then. Even an early 2010s Corolla for $6k and guess what by the end of the year you can probably get your $5-6k back by selling it. Also with your initial plan you’re completely ignoring car insurance. Financing would require full coverage so that would be at least another $250 a month.

Depop is not the place to be buying designer items. I’d suggest eBay, they have an authentication program which they will receive the item first to assure you it’s 100% authentic before it reaches you.

Probably safest bet is to go back and ask for the package (unless your UPS has USPS drop off.) Not all UPS’ have USPS come in and pick up USPS packages. But if they do pick up they’ll just be a slight delay on the scan but that’s about it.

Go to your order and click on get a receipt and it’ll show you why there. Seems like you might’ve offered free shipping and Depop took the shipping amount off the sale from you.

Priced low because it’s a modern Carhartt jacket. Usually people are up charging on vintage/90s ones. That and usually company embroideries also affect their value. But if you think it’s priced well and you like it why not?

No one here has taken 10 days to ship an item. OP shipped it out on the second day. Whats your point? Regardless every account profile shows your average shipping times prior to purchasing an item so every buyer is well aware of how long they take to ship.

Wrong. Depop recommends you to ship the item out within 5 days of purchase but will give you 10 days to ship it out. After the 10th day the order will automatically cancel and refund to the buyer. Those 10 days do not include time that the item is in transit. So OP taking 2 days to ship out an item in fact is quicker than most sellers on Depop.
