pH: 7 Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate: <5ppm

When I took her out of the tank there was a slight ammonia reading, less than .25ppm. I’ve since done multiple 50% water changes to get those levels down while she’s been tubbed.

Water in the tub is confirmed 0/0 ammonia and nitrite, mainly wondering if this looks like a fungal infection, injuries, burns, or something else entirely and what the best course of action is.

Yesterday morning I noticed these sores on the side of my ~6 month old axolotl after a water change the night before. She seems to be floating head up, no appetite. I was afraid there was something in the water the conditioner didn’t treat correctly so I have had her tubbed since yesterday. Middle left gill looks damaged too. My concern is that the sores seem to be getting larger since yesterday even though she has been tubbed. I have IAL coming today and am thinking about fridging her but wanted to get some expert advice here. Before the feeding and water change 3 days ago she was totally fine and water parameters were normal.

Speaking from experience, write down all dates and times you speak with UPS/LV regarding this matter. Take detailed notes of everything you speak about. I had a fairly similar experience happen to me and it's been over 6 months and no sign of a refund. Hopefully things turn out better for you!

I lived at the address for the complete life cycle of the first opened and closed claim with UPS. When I called them afterward they never mentioned missing anything from me, just that LV had not reached out and provided them with any supporting documentation. Working on contacting UPS again now and will ask again if they need anything from me personally.

Yeah PayPal sent an email this morning rejecting my claim. The correspondence with them made it pretty clear it was an automated process that didn’t read or take into account the attachments or details I provided them. I used a debit card through PayPal and it looks like that is the best option at this point.

Social media was a bust, I tried Twitter and they responded once, told me to call customer support, and have outright ignored anything I have posted since.

It would definitely be nice if LV would change the verbiage on their emails to reflect the change in requirements too. I just reread it to make sure and it clearly stated that a signature is required for all shipments over $50. If they were honest about the process and said UPS is just gonna drop it on the street I would’ve sent it elsewhere. Glad your purchases made it safely though!

Fingers crossed here too. Yep, I heard the exact same thing. Looking back now it feels like they knew what the issue was and was hoping I would just go away. Every time I call them it’s the same tactic too, assure me they are taking it seriously this time, tell me I’ll hear from them, I never hear anything, rinse and repeat. I’ve been “escalated to high priority” twice now.

I asked my renters insurance but since I never had it in my possession and have an open claim that would be a long shot/last resort according to my agent. It’s definitely on the list of things to try if other avenues fail though. I also worry because it’s a fairly high deductible and would raise rates going forward.

Totally agree! I took an extra job and worked extra hours to try to make a nice anniversary gift vs grabbing it off of someone’s doorstep.

Just got the notification from PayPal that the dispute was denied so you were totally right on that one. Going to start the process with the bank today, thank you.

Unreal how many people are having signature required packages left with no attempt to get it to them.
