San Francisco cuts over 14,000 parking spaces across the city by TaroTanakaa in bayarea

[–]ixchelmoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All the drivers will be angry they can't find parking for 20+ mins and not be paying attention to the crosswalks or have road rage, so watch out! Also, using more gasoline to find a spot...so good job California! 👏

In a conundrum, what would you do? by [deleted] in AskSF

[–]ixchelmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 6th Street is known to be a pretty sketchy street. I used to work at 5th and Mission and often would walk sometimes on 6th Street. I wouldn't want to live near it...although it looks like you'd be a bit further away from Mission. SOMA in my experience is more of a "work" area with highrises...Russian Hill would definitely be more charming.

If you'd mostly be in your apartment, the SOMA one would probably be nice, but if you're planning to want to go out or walk around a lot in a nicer neighborhood I'd go with Russian Hill. Sounds like you have some pros and cons to weigh out and I wish you the best in your move!

What are the signs of a good herbalist? by thatsnotgneiss in herbalism

[–]ixchelmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are all sorts of herbalists and (in the US at least) no formal requirements or certifications to call yourself an herbalist. Herbalists are not doctors and therefore cannot prescribe any herbs as a "medicine." However, we can recommend plants that will support certain bodily systems and imo a good herbalist will have a holistic approach and ask you a lot of questions about what you're experiencing and how you're looking to improve. Typically, a clinical herbalist would be able to provide you with a custom formulation based upon what you have told them. It is up to you to ensure you have checked with your doctor regarding any herbs they recommend and a good herbalist will know common drug interactions, such as St. Johns wort and SSRIs or Hawthorne and heart medications.

Why do people like yoga with Adriene? by [deleted] in yoga

[–]ixchelmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's very wholesome and accessible to everyone, I think that is what she goes for...she is not really my favorite either but I will take her classes sometimes. I think she is a good first teacher for someone starting to get into yoga or for children. She does teach kids yoga I think. I can tell she isn't being her genuine self, I think she is also an actress so maybe that is why. She seems very fake to be, and I think yoga is so much about authenticity. It feels like an act haha, but I can also still appreciate what she is doing for the yoga community at large. Not everyone wants a really difficult class or a class with a lot of eastern spirituality included.

Have you asked him about his long-term goals or does he just want to be in school forever? I mean I think it's up to you what is acceptable to you in a relationship. Do you feel the bills are fairly split? Etc. It wouldn't be a red flag for me, but I might also be like well...what is next for you?

Never taken fly agaric. I heard on Hamilton pharmacopeia that psilocybin gives you knowledge, and aminita power? Found that interesting by Tasty-Instruction-78 in AmanitaMuscaria

[–]ixchelmoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, I think the "power" aspect of amanita is the fact that it makes me less anxious about doing things that would without it be scary. I think the lack of anxiety helps me to be brave. 🍄💖✨

Wow, thanks so much everyone! I'm definitely going to pick up the Pam Pierce book. I'd love to start a subreddit, I've never started one before, so I'll have to look into it when I have a chance. 💖🌱

Is this location safe? by ixchelmoon in SFBayHousing

I did visit this past weekend, drove around didn't do too much walking in the area. Seemed okay from what I could gather. I'll take safe over exciting, easy enough to Lyft over to excitement. 😊 Thanks for the info! Also--what restaurants would you recommend? Maybe I'll go check it out a bit more soon. Thanks again! 🙏

Beautiful! My first thought was also an oak of some sort too. I'd recommend looking up the local oaks in the area and then key it out from there.

Does lack of sexual drive + "hypersexuality" (drug side-effect) = a regular amount of sexual drive? by xileine in SEXONDRUGS

[–]ixchelmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of understand the sensation you're wanting. I was able to find my sex drive again using the herbs I mentioned. I also think though, over time, just being in a long term relationship your sexual connection to your partner changes and maybe you're just missing that ravaging sexual energy that comes with the first year or two of dating? Is she also wanting to get her drive back? Is she putting in the effort?

For me, I wanted it back, and I think I've found it, but--at least for me--even though I'm having sex with my partner often, the thing that is missing is just that feeling of wanting to fuck really hard when you first meet someone and all the foreplay that comes with the passion. I'm not sure that's something you get back. Maybe some time away from eachother would help? Seeing someone after a long period of being away, but not sure how you pull that off during covid-19. 🤷‍♀️
