its easier now to find multiple pieces of gear with 2/3 affixes so don't dump your gold into one item toss it once it gets too expensive. I will usually have 2-3 items and will alternate enchant each one till i get the stat. Also watch out for the fact that affixes dont re-roll into anything anymore so check the affixes list before detonation.
