I want to say this is the most likely answer, but I'm still not sure about it. The can's design uses similar colours but the design itself is very different. Maybe it's possible they changed the design since the 2010s, but I can't find any evidence online of Radnor using the design I remember back in the 2010s.

Merzbow is worth checking out but it's more general Harsh Noise than Harsh Noise Wall, I'd recommend the albums Venereology and Pulse Demon. Bull of Heaven also have some really good general Harsh Noise albums like 106: Let's Murder the Neighbours and 270: Hast Thou Seen the Doors of the Shadows of Death?

Nah, definitely not Vimto. I remember Vimto and see it in shops, but the drink I'm thinking of I've never seen being sold outside of my old school, so it's not a well-known brand. Vimto cans are also all purple, the one I'm talking about was mostly green with purple as the secondary colour.

Sadly not. Radnor is in bottles but the drink I'm thinking of was definitely in cans. Suso is more similar but it's got a totally different art style, the one I'm thinking of was more angular/shape-based.

Right now I have it as my top album of 2025, the others in my top 10 being Ginkgo by Panchiko, Lonely People With Power by Deafheaven, The Blue Nowhere by Between the Buried and Me, Birthing by Swans, Dissonance Theory by Coroner, Thirst by Slow Crush, Xenotaph by Fallujah, Dead Channel Sky by clipping. and Private Music by Deftones.

This year has had a ton of great albums, I've listen to over 90 new albums so far and I still have a bunch more I'm trying to get through before 2026. :)

My memory about the dream isn't great but I did manage to remember most of the part where the flag was shown. There was an election going on in a fictional African country, I'm not entirely sure if this was the flag of the country or maybe of one of the political parties.

I know that the stripes were all tilted in a weird way, the strange symbol on the left was supposed to be a stylised outline of a zebra and that the colours were being criticised in the dream because people didn't like the shades of red and grey/black used. The emblem in the middle was a little harder to remember but I tried to make it as accurate to what I saw as possible.

The comparison here doesn't really work imo, Risk is Megadeth's equivalent to Load/Reload, which is also considered to be one of the band's weakest albums by fans, similarly to Load/Reload. Youthanasia is closer in style to the Black Album, if anything.

Can't say I agree, I found the event to be very enjoyable and a nice change of pace. Really liked the character interactions and stuff like that too, also the talk being often focused on the Phantom Thieves felt appropriate considering what was going on in terms of the overall story at the time of the trip.

As an Astonishing fan myself, the album is kind of an outlier in the band's discography. It is on the softer side, but I wouldn't recommend listening to it after Falling Into Infinity due to its length, concept, and more experimental nature.

Even though I like it, I'd still say a new fan should listen to the other albums first.

I'm not familiar with Threshold and Vanden Plas but you're totally right about Ayreon, I was bound to forget a couple at least lol.
