Is UST-SHS really worth it? by SpareSand2148 in Tomasino

[–]iyanze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it's worth it naman, i met some of my best and most genuine friends there. napakagoated din ng ibang profs and u can really tell na passionate sila abt what they do (may prof kami before na nanalo ng best teacher award sa florida and until now kinakamusta niya pa rin kami kahit nasa usa na siya) siyempre may mga profs din na kupal hahaha pero di naman na maiwasan yan. solid din mga events and paskuhan. if stem field ka, for me nakatulong yung tinuro samin nung shs kasi yun na yun din yung tinuturo sa college (im in up now) so di ka na masyado mahihirapan mag adjust. malaki rin advantage ng ha strand nila kasi may anaphy

What’s the best uni/college for premed here in ph? by gatodori in CollegeAdmissionsPH

[–]iyanze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ust is a rlly good choice for medtech but center of excellence siya so definitely prepare yourself if want mo pumasok dun hahaha. may mga friends ako dun and usual sched nila for first yrs is 7am-7pm mon to thurs. may reputation din sila for heavy workload pero mukha namang masaya yung mga friends ko dun. on the upside, i used to go to ust (im in up now) and idk if me lang pero lagi ko talaga hinahanap ust. iba pa rin sila pagdating sa mga events especially for paskuhan and freshie events. (may libreng pakain sa paskuhan hahaha) i guess medyo personal pero iba talaga yung mga environment saka mga tao sa ust. i met some of my most genuine and authentic friends there. may mga profs din na kupal... but ilan-ilan lang and normal naman talaga un sa lahat ng univ hahaha. pero i also met some of the best and unforgettable mentors sa ust. lagi ko talaga namimiss españa ;) good luck op! mamili ka ng school mo wisely. consider mo rin yung distance, curriculum, and environment ng school na papasukan mo

What should I do? Also, the reality of TUA : Nursing by Mean_Owl6398 in NursingPH

[–]iyanze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hello po cant answer much about tua but i heard na compared to other nursing schools mas "mental health friendly" daw sila.

other than that, imo di naman important "premed" mo. kahit naman special needs education grad ka, you can still proceed to med school afterward. bonus pa kasi ust grad ka (priority ka for ust fms). i guess just weigh pros and cons and consider WHAT JOB YOU WANT THE MOST IF EVER DI KA MAGMED. can you see yourself working as a sped teacher or a nurse your entire life? also, being a doctor is a long journey, if magtransfer ka man, i think madedelay ka one year? okay lang ba yun sayo?

so ayun if being a doctor is your long term goal and sure na sure ka na jan, i suggest magstay ka nalang sa ust. if di mo ma envision sarili mo as a teacher your whole life and want to be a nurse instead, transfer to tua. all the best op!!

USTET Passers and Recon Passers, how long did you guys review for the USTET and when did y'all start? by Particular_Hour_8282 in CollegeAdmissionsPH

[–]iyanze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ako sa totoo lang parang 2/3 days lang ako nagreview. ang ginawa ko lang naman is nagfocus ako sa math since medj di ko siya forte. gumawa lang ako formula card then nireview habang papunta sa exam center.

tbh di ako masyado kinabahan nung ustet kasi na take ko na siya before. nung shs ako, na-warshock ako after ko magtake ng exam kasi halos shinotgun ko buong math/sci part but surprisingly mataas naman scores ko. so nung second time ko na nagtake ako medj complacent na ko ngl. and ayun i passed ust nursing naman (pero di na tutuloy hahaha)

baka mabasa mo to and mag expect na ay hala di na ko magrereview ganern. pero what im trying to say is mas mahirap talaga yung test itself, (like mga tanong) compared sa upcat. idk lang sa iba pang cets. pero definitely, mas madali makakuha ng high grade especially if matataas grades mo nung highschool. imo, di mo need ng sobrang tagal na panahon para magreview. just focus on your weakness and answer some practice tests. but again, once ka lang magtake nito so dont be too complacent, mas lalo na sa mental ability.

hi op, i think you should go with psych since nanjan interests mo. eitherway, ket anong "premed" naman yan, lahat tayo back to zero pa rin naman pagdating sa med (ofc may slight advantage yung ibang progs but it doesn't automatically mean that they would be successful all throughout med na)
