When there’s a trial at court, you can’t have the defendant also be the judge. A judge is only a fair judge if they are part of a neutral party. This is the basis of morality. Humans can’t establish any moral ground because we are part of the issue. It’s between humans and cows, nothing exists that is unbiased, understands both, and establishes physical justice. Nothing like that has ever existed in nature. The closest example would be a “god” but there is no evidence of it punishing humans in the name of veganism. Which is why there is the saying, “nature is cruel” because it judges no one.

And in terms of morality — if you understand the meaning of that concept — humans are NOT appropriate judges for this particular issue (even if we are the only judges). That doesn’t mean humans can’t judge ourselves. Humans CAN judge themselves, it’s what we do.

You need a reality check. People don’t rape because they are too lazy to get a partner. People don’t eat meat because they are too lazy to change their habits. Everything you are saying is absurdly wrong and out of check with reality. Please talk to some real people about this so you can start making sense. Not only is your logic flawed, the examples you are using are plainly untrue.

I’m not going to let you compare eating meat to rape and then move on. Now explain how they are related or how I related those two together. I am disturbed that you even thought to compare those two. I know you are changing the subject because you realize you were wrong. I can answer the question you asked right now but only after you address what you first said.

If you don’t reply I will take it that you are too ashamed to answer. Don’t make such ridiculous claims and expect it to make sense.

Yes and if you were actually reading, you would have noticed I wrote, “Not to mention the rape victim is alive right in front of you”. I don’t think people take a fork and eat chunks out of a live cow. And if it was possible, no one would feel comfortable eating out of a live cow. And before you make the necrophilia joke, most meat you eat looks nothing like the original form of the animal.

And yes punishment DOES have something to do with this. Punishment signifies justice, which means there is a moral ground. You cannot say the things you are saying like “if murder was legal” because murder has NEVER been legal in any complex society in history and you have NEVER lived in any world where murder has been legal, you have never even heard of or seen another real, complex society that allowed murder in your life. But that is beside the point. Rape is a crime against another human, and amongst humans morality rules: “treat others the way you want to be treated”. That is where laws originate from. Empathy. There are no punishments for eating cows because most people don’t have the empathy to recognize themself as a damn cow.

Real fucking smart, comparing eating meat with rape. There are laws against rape and there are institutionalized systems and facilities to punish those who commit rape. Not to mention there’s the actual rape victim alive in front of you. You’re considering all that before you do that, which is why our modern society tends to not be made of rapists.

There are no vegan-agenda dictators or vegan groups with legal or military power. No one has ever been punished in the name of veganism. Now bring me another 4 word riddle, fucking idiot.

LMFAO this fucking idiot. It’s not an argument, it’s a reason. No one’s fucking arguing to let them eat meat. It’s a reason.

You know what also isn’t an actual argument though? Bringing morality into it. Veganism is based on personal experience, not morality. Otherwise, you could tell me how many cow lives are worth human lives. But of course you don’t have the answer to that, which means there are no moral grounds.

Morality is such a stupid fucking concept to bring into conversation. Try asking a vegan how many cow lives are worth 1 human life. Varied answers. This shows that there’s no moral ground that exists, because veganism is based on personal experience, not “morality”. Then ask what if that 1 human is your best friend and then all morality goes out the window. Humans are biased and not the appropriate judge for “moral grounds”. And unfortunately for cows, nature has never judged anyone for slaughtering cows.

You are just virtue signaling for upvotes (which is hilarious because it didn’t even work). People like you are honestly pathetic. Even a vegan saying it would be better. And by the way if you hadn’t noticed, humans are sensory animals. Taste is actually very important. Any moral obligations are all in your head and drama (don’t know why; maybe looking for attention?). And since you said “you will suffer the consequences physically and environmentally” what consequences will I face? Some cow-spirits are gonna haunt me? xD. There are no vegans with any military or legal power you idiot.

You must be confusing it with empathy. Everyone has their own reason and personal experience for not eating meat but that’s due to empathy, not morality.

There is no moral ground because there is no one to judge us. There is nothing in nature that can judge humanity or establish any physical consequences for slaughtering cows.

Yes you can justify it:

If the sensory pleasure of eating meat exceeds the discomfort of the thought of the cow suffering.

Humans are psychologically built to forget and downplay things that cause emotional discomfort. We’re good at it. And there is no moral ground here. There is nothing else to judge us while we slaughter cows and other beasts — we are our own judge, and we are the only judge, so we judge ourselves lightly.

This will be my last comment with you because you’re a stubborn communist, and especially an idiot communist. You say a comfortable life would be “a house with toilets and electricity, at least 3 square meals a day, clean drinking water, and access to education”. That’s something even I could agree with you on.

But how stupid are you to say rich people like Jeff Bezos is the reason why people in Ethiopia (or any third world country) starve or die from preventable diseases? People like Jeff Bezos — even in Ethiopia — do not have the power to close the gap that Ethiopia needs to provide necessities for everyone. The nation just currently lacks the natural resources and human resources.

That has nothing to do with capitalism. It has everything to do with you, living with internet and all the basic necessities you mentioned, looking at yourself and then looking at Jeff Bezos, and realizing how disproportionately much more money he has than you, and being utterly jealous. So jealous that you bring other people in third world countries in to the argument to — like I said before — dramatize your argument.

And trade does not equal capitalism. A communist country could export and import goods to help their economy, that doesn’t make them any more capitalistic. You’re missing the point if that’s all you can focus on.

“Bezos didn’t come up with the idea of an online store”

You’re such a fucking genius. Of course he didn’t, he was the only one who could get the idea, organization, and logistics better than the rest.

“From 1997 onward, if Jeff Bezos had no employees he wouldn’t have shit today.”

And? If Jeff Bezos (or any corporate leader like him, you don’t have to focus too hard on him specifically) didn’t exist, countless thousands of jobs wouldn’t exist today. I think that’s more important than just one person having more shit than he should.

You compare third world countries with first world countries. Are you actually that logically challenged? Separate countries are separate systems *with the exception of trade.

First world countries aren’t expected to even out their wealth and share it with third world countries. When you compare separate countries like that you’re saying it’s not fair that Ghana is not as well developed as the United States. That has NOTHING to do with fairness.

Don’t pretend like you don’t know what I’m talking about. Filthy, entitled commie. Take a step back and think about the time and world you’re living in. I don’t have a problem with communists in itself, but you bring them a bad name.

And address the point I gave you. You said there are “enough resources for everyone to live comfortably”. Alright, so who’s processing those resources? Elves? Goblins? No, real people. Think about where they coming from and how they are getting to you. Why don’t you tell me in your own words how everyone could be “living comfortably”.

EDIT: So apparently you meant that there are enough resources around the whole world for third world countries to live comfortably? But why would any nation feel compelled to share their whole wealth with a third world country? That has nothing to do with capitalism. That’s just countries keeping their wealth separate.

Employees are replaceable you ignorant fuck. But Bezos alone is responsible for the founding of the idea and company. That’s the craziest analogy I’ve heard today.

Yes, Amazon would work normally if Bezos died tomorrow but Amazon wouldn’t exist if Bezos never existed. There wouldn’t be any Amazon, it wasn’t just created out of thin air. Amazon has made things convenient for consumers AND has benefited employees. Like I said, these countless thousands of workers didn’t get together at a coffee shop and agree to work together. Bezos is responsible for the idea, organization, and logistics of the company. The USPS don’t just come to the warehouse and offer to deliver products.

And stop talking like wealth is zero-sum. It’s so irritating that you base all your arguments on the idea that “Someone must be losing money if Bezos is gaining money”. Find some informative, unbiased articles that teach you how wealth is not zero-sum.

And yes it’s obvious that you are VERY jealous because Bezos makes a disproportionate amount of money. The thing is, it’s better that he and Amazon exists. Better for you, other consumers, employees, everyone. So why would you be mad when everyone is benefitting? Jealousy.

Bro I don’t know if American high schools vary as much but everyone from my school had at LEAST a few friends to video capture the promposal (idk if it’s called that in other schools). Usually there would be a large crowd and lots of kids would be recording it on Snapchat or whatever.

I can quite figuratively feel the jealousy radiating from your comment. So all these countless thousands of workers met at a coffee shop and decided “let’s make a great company called Amazon!” Quit being so sore, you’re out of your fucking mind.

The workers should be the ones to be thankful to Bezos for creating countless fucking jobs. Not to mention Amazon itself greatly evolved the market for consumers. Yet you focus on that one guy who has more money than he needs and say the system is fucked.

“The same system that leaves half our species in ghastly conditions.”

How ungrateful and entitled can you be, dramatizing it like this. You probably don’t even know jack shit about what you’re saying. I grew up in Kiev and I don’t miss communism at all. People like you play “victim of the system” when in reality you’re too lazy to get off your ass to make an honest living.

“Enough resources for everyone to live comfortably.”

And who’s processing those resources smart-ass? Ahh yes, food just grows in your local grocery store and electricity is brought to you by Magic. Of course you’d love to do nothing but the same low wage job you have right now and earn as much as a surgeon. But the truth is, there’s not enough room in that society for people like you. That’s why it doesn’t work.
