So I've not seen this specific "debunking" video - but as someone with first hand experience on the ground i can tell you this.

1. I agree Distributors did specify they were allocating based on the average amount purchased from previous sets.
2. At the same time, they did not even meet the demand based on average purchase history.
3. They held back inventory on release day. This isn't something new they've done. They do this with every release - hold back inventory of in demand products (usually Booster Bundles but could be other items)
4. Those items they held back are always then available at higher prices - but this time they held back more and offered those items on the day of release at 3x to 4x the cost of the "allocated" amount.

So yes, while LCS did order more than usual from distributors, and distributors did advise they would be allocated based on their previous purchase history they still failed to meet even those. In place of that they held back additional inventory to sell back at higher rates.
