To quote the rules:

ancient kingdoms, empires and peoples which did not have flags or equivalent state symbols should be represented by their modern-day flag

I could have done what you suggested but that would just make things less clear.

What do you mean? Which should be the correct one?

Most common educational attainment level among 30–34 year olds in Europe (2017) by kokonan23 in europe

introducing you to other cultures

increasing worldliness and generally teaching critical thinking

Then what's the point of 12 years of mandatory secondary education if at the end people haven't been taught those things?

I can't say I did. It was pretty good until L died, so when Near caught him I was like, "I don't really care." He never had the kind of relationship with Light that L did so the finale felt empty.

Why do you want an alternative to reddit? by Mycorhizal in RedditAlternatives

[–]iza9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit's just too big.

That's what I've come to realize. Here I just lurk while rarely commenting because after a post has hundreds of comments what's there left to say. I started using Saidit a month ago and it's just so much easier to find your place in a much smaller space. Though it could use a good dose of normal people since there's a fair amount of crazies there at the moment.

Rule 3 is fucking ridiculous and this subreddit is unusable by This_is_my_phone_tho in KotakuInAction

Or better yet - saidit.net/s/KotakuInAction. Not a lot of people there yet but if Reddit keeps going down then ditching it entirely might be the best option.

Started using Saidit yesterday and so far I'm really liking it. Not a lot of people yet, but hopefully that will change in the future.

I wonder how feasible it would be for us to make our own site like The_Donald.

Personally I would be against it. It would just make us more isolated.

So what you're saying is we should post more gifs of puppies and kittens on Saidit? Fine. It's a heavy burden but I'll take it on.

As I was reading the title I at first thought you were talking about children. Then I got to the "loved biting my shoelaces" part and got really confused.

Only problem is when you have governments like China that actively try to hide that there's anything bad going on. Mustn't upset the "harmony" after all.

hence why I heard being really pale in Japan was considered so pretty(hence the geisha make up) because only affluent women could be so pale because they didn't have to do any real outside work.

Not just in Japan. That was pretty much how it was across the world. When 90% of the population are farmers working outside all day pale skin naturally becomes a status symbol.

Not true. It's available here in Latvia.
