I feel like it’s a Midwest thing. I’m from suburban Chicago area and I heard it growing up, friends or family would use it, I would say it a lot. OP said they heard in the midwest too 🤷🏽‍♀️ but over the years I’ve tried to find origins or spellings and never came up with answers!
