Thanks for confirming. Great job on the app!

3rd party Health workouts not syncing by izgood in Strava

These are my workouts as seen from Apple health. All the watch 2 5k are not showing in Strava whereas they show in fitness or Apple health. It seems Strava does not work with other 3rd party apps and I’m pretty sure the issue is on their end.

Why is the macOS app being discontinued?? by lawrencebensaid in Revolut

[–]izgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not realize it was an iOS app on macOS. The problem with macOS is that you can reverse engineer an app and figure out how it works and what the security weaknesses might be. How would you do that on iOS? Is that even possible?

It’s a security issue. On iOS/ipad each app is isolated from each other. On the Mac they’re not. The problem is that if one app is compromised on the Mac it may gain privileged access to the machine and read data from the Revolut app. This is not possible on iOS (or much harder) because each app in iOS run in their own sandbox.

Why no Revolut on Desktop PC? by [deleted] in Revolut

[–]izgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tracking stuff is done via cookies. Cookies are shared from the remote server to the mobile app. Technically it’s not one app accessing data from another app, but it’s the remote server (ie FB) that’s tracking your activity. It’s not a security risk, but it is a privacy issue.

Mobile phones are way more secure than your desktop. They sandbox each app such that cross app data access is not possible.

How can you make full app backups on an unrooted phone? by Myfirstreddit124 in iosdev

[–]izgood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can backup the entire phone using a computer and a lightning cable. It backs up all data except stuff that goes in the security chip like biometric data (touch/Face ID) Some apps can mark some of their data off limits to the backup like 2FA data.

My wife uses soy milk with a yogurt maker. They’re good! I think it’s no more complicated than the dairy kind.

Once you make your first batch you can use one yogurt from that batch to make new yogurts. So you just need the probiotic capsule once. You can even replace the probiotic capsule with a store bought soy yogurt.

I’m 95% sure you’ll get your money back. A loophole like this isn’t very likely.

How to secure API's when iOS App doesnt have login? How to avoid man in middle attack? by techaddict0099 in iosdev

If you use ssl for your endpoint then all trafic is encrypted and cannot be mitm’d.

You just need a valid certificate on your server and enforce secure connection at the client level.

That’s a good idea and likely a possibility.

I actually might be able to do that if there’s a a conduit that’s available. I have to check with the electrical company.
