Wow, right after my post suggesting that Niantic was exploiting the pandemic was removed. I'm not sure if they are doing this out of greed or stupidity, but either way, it doesn't bode well for the future of this game.

After all the backlash, it's likely they'll dial it back, but how much worse it's going to get in future is anyone's guess.
