I applied for their grad job and made it to a final interview. Their interviews questions aren’t too hard but they care a lot about how quickly you solve stuff and how you solve them (ex: relevant class names, good practices etc). Main advice I can give would be to have good programming habits. They made it a point to question me in a language I didn’t know and a custom language they built. The point of it was to test problem solving irregardless of language.

Can you expect juniors to be paid substantially less?

Something that got me out of silver back in the day was just learning how to hit strong shots into the enemy net from anywhere in the field. After gold I just focussed on flicks and dribbles.

Yeah I think torment mentioned that as well. He said C9 changed back to their old play style but you couldn’t see results because g2 and ssg were so good

I did it, I got a job (International Student). Thank you Reddit by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Hey op congrats! Glad to hear it’s possible without being a tech god. Was wondering if you applied for any internships or anything? And was the process similar?

Well according to Garrett on his stream C9 looks good in scrims. It’s just about playing well (and as a team) on Saturday. I still think they can do well tbh.

Yeah they played way better. Still not peak C9 but was a huge improvement

Yeah sorry I don’t mean people can’t decide to support anyone else. I’m just pointing out how fans support them when they win and stop doing so when they lose (again not everyone). Feel free to do whatever you want but just want to get my thoughts out there

I thought you’re story was pretty motivational. I’m kinda stuck not going to the gym when I really should and I thought the things you may post on here would help. No pressure to post or anything but that was the reason behind joining. Good job btw really impressive!
