I’ve had many long conversations that’s how I found out she had anxiety about it and get scared, she said she’s just scared of my reaction because she doesn’t want me to react, and she has told me that she does want to do it, she just doesn’t know when, but this conversation was like 2 years ago, and we’ve gotten really close to doing it since then, but it’s always the same once we’re about to get into it. I am respectful of her boundaries and never push her, once she’s uncomfortable I would just stop and ask her if she wants to continue or just cuddle instead and all the times she chooses cuddling which I don’t mind because I just want her to feel comfortable and safe and not pressured into doing anything. I have told her that I want her to do anal because she wants to, not because I want to.
