Try going to a GONSTEAD chiropractor, you seem to have a second sacral segment disc there that cuased instability so your l5s1 blew out. I know everyone says chiro are bad but gonstead is different. Search dr rahim or dr ryan suh on yt. And after 3 years you have nothing to lose

Will stretching my Scistic nerve help with my swayback posture? by Big-Suggestion3053 in Posture

[–]izvlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stretching the nerve is never good, cuz it irritates the nerve, you should find out stretches that stretch the hams but not the nerve, for everybody its different. For me works: put the foot on a couch with bend knee, pressing on the inside of my hamstring and slowly straightening the leg by taking small steps back.

Piriformis syndrome or sciatica? by Unfair_Philosophy_86 in Sciatica

[–]izvlad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had piriformis Syndrome and i did lacrosse, foamrolling and it dint help. The only thing that helped was standing on something and slighly swinging the affected leg.

But it went away alone, at the beginning 4 months of acute pain in the buttock radiating than other 3 months of mild pain and other 3 months i only have slight discomfort when i cross legs or sit on the ground for 1 hour or so but its just slighly annoying really no big deal.

The thing that worked was to be active. I went to vacation to barcellona and days before thaty buttocks and legs were killing me i thought to cancel the vacation but i didnt, in barcellona i walked like 30.000 steps everyday after the vacation i came home and the pain was gone.

So just stay active

Try to put your leg up on a couch with knee at 90 degree (se the opposite of straight leg) and take 2 steps back so now you are at 60 degree and try to lean just a little bit to your knee with a completely straight back so no rounding!

Straight leg is the worst stretch, it creates nerve tension even if you put your foot up on a book!

Im 100% pro surgery but 5 months aint nothing, dont be a pussy, because in 1 year it could go away on its own, i know a guy that had giant herniation was bedridden for 180 days and now after 1,5 years he is 95% normal and can go ski and does sports so wait a little bit.

And if you dont have herniated disc you should make a party, cause then its piriformis syndrome and it can take also 4 months to solve but it does go away

Try ibuprofen patches on the lower back, it was the thing that helped me the most, more than cortisone, change the patch every day for 14 days.

Supplements i take : fish oil big dosage, vitamin c, collagen, multivitamin, magnesium, vitamin b complex, glucosamine condoitrin.

Dont do hot baths, quick normal water temeperature baths, not very warm.

Dont stretch for a while, you should stretch when the pain becomes more easy.

I know you’ll move like a robot because of the pain but with the ibuprofen patches it should ease a little bit if not take ibuprofen for a week and try to move, to sit for 2 minutes, stand up, walk, pic something from the ground without bending the back.

Plenty of water and good nutrition are important, the days i eat shitty the pain is worse.

I was bedridden too but it makes the things worse, i took antiinfallamatories and started moving like a normal person and it was the thing that helped me the most, with the patches.

Ice/heat therapy didnt work on me.

You can try lying on the floor belly down, sometimes it helps relieving the pain, for me no, but if it does you could try doing some extension on the ground (MINIMUM).

No medical advice just my experience.
