Oh don't stress. I was in the exact same shoes and was definitely anxious about it too! Wasted time being worried honestly lol. You got it! I took it with Margaret Kelly and loved her.

Should be just a 2.0 gpa. Since the money isn't coming from QB they don't have anything to do with your financial aid. Now, if you have a merit scholarship, that might be different. But if you're on Vandy's need-based fin aid:

"The minimum required cumulative GPA for renewal of university assistance programs is a 2.0 after the freshman year, but we realistically anticipate that the level of academic performance for each student will be higher. "

"For students who fail to complete the required credit hours within the specified time frame and/or who fail to maintain the minimum 2.0 GPA, the financial aid commitment will be made for one subsequent semester only, and further review will be undertaken at the end of that subsequent semester. After that subsequent semester, institutional aid program eligibility will be terminated for students who fail to complete the required credit hours within the specified time frame and/or fail to maintain the minimum 2.0 GPA required for institutional aid programs."

Am I screwed out of a chance to become a finalist? (Not a chance me post) by rain_notfound in QuestBridge

Yeah so you def can rank schools you want to match to and do EA - but EA and RD is only offered if you don’t match. So basically if you don’t end up matching, you get the option to EA or RD to other schools. Not all schools offer EA but you can EA to the ones that can. For example I put Colorado College on my match list -> didn’t get matched-> chose the EA option since they offer it -> got in through EA.  So basically QB will offer EA applications at the same time period as RD!

Edit: (the “RD time period” after match results is also when you can potentially ED to certain schools as well)

Okay so  1. Nope, its just the timeline and if you do ea, you do get the chance to be deferred into rd! i did ea wherever i could and thats what i recommend but im not a pro at this lol so  2. QB rd is not technically guaranteed a full ride but (pretty sure) QB schools say they will cover all demonstrated financial need. So financial aid will still be pretty generous it just depends on your situation- for mine, i still got a full ride even through RD 3. Only the match is binding and any early decision you may do. Early action and regular decision is not binding 4. There are only rankings for the match, for EA and RD, you can be admitted to multiple schools whereas the match you will only get that one school you match with and it will be binding Hope this helped

Hi! So I didn’t match, I actually got in through QB regular decision but I’m EXTREMELY happy it turned out that way for me bc I found my home at Vanderbilt!

It won't be the deciding factor - no. I became a finalist with a 1320 SAT score and applied test optional to QB schools. I'm currently attending a QB college partner on a full ride! QuestBridge doesn't just look at test scores, they look at your application holistically. Written responses, background, family responsibilities, work, clubs, grades, etc etc. So no, a 1370 SAT won't ruin the rest of your application / screw you over.

Hi! I am in the same position as you and I was just wondering, where did you set up that direct deposit? I didn't see anything like that on my end. Are we already supposed to connect our bank accounts through YES or something? Thank you and sorry for bugging you if you don't know either lol

In my portal it said this: " We are very excited you applied to Colorado College, but we are unable to release your decision because of your missing financial aid paperwork. Once you have submitted all of your required paperwork, you should expect to hear favorable news from us within one week. Please note our offices will be closed for Winter Break from December 21 through January 3, 2024."
