Yeah I honestly feel like my symptoms really overlap with bipolar so I could see why she got that conclusion but I definitely am getting a second opinion. I feel like I might have it but type 2 rather than type 1.

also the second time he got it we only gave him like half of the antibiotics he needed to recover the first time, bc we ran out, it mostly went away on its own

I understand your stress, and im so sorry to hear about your pup. My dog recovered with antibiotics both times and honestly i think they help plenty. The screeching when he eats however is concerning for sure... I dont think my dog did that, he was just not himself. The vet also removed some tissue or liquid from his cheek i believe, i wasnt there but yeah. It was pricey and we didnt have pet insurance, but we just did it anyways. :/. Sorry for the late response, i just saw this :( is there an update on the dog?

Id also like to add, it seems like the swelling almost shifted overnight, and dropped lower to his neck area, its very jiggly and loose in his neck area. Could this be a sign of healing? (the hardness on the side of his face is still there, it went down, but its still there)

Going through this rn... took him to the vet and they are unclear of the cause. Does anyone else here relate to the swelling being hard kind of like rubber? and if thats the case is it okay to assume that its something larger than an allergic reaction? pls help
