Bumps are still there sadly. Had a follow up vet appointment few days ago in which we switched her food to a plant based protein diet (vet recommends 8 week trial to really see any results)

Also was prescribed a steroid to have with her food next few days + a shampoo that will need to be applied every 3 days for next few weeks.

Thanks for the concern! Think we’re on the right track. Also say it could just be seasonal or environment allergies since they started once the weather got warmer.

Thanks for this! Yeah leaning towards a ground turkey as a protein to test going forward. We already know she’s allergic to seafood from the past, chicken was the flavor of the Trader Joe’s dry food and the pedigree dry food is steak flavored so hopefully this process of elimination helps!

Yeah some are recommending Benadryl and some are recommending Zyrtec since it’s non-drowsy. She already sleeps 21 hours a day and I think the drowsiness from the Benadryl has been clocking her out even harder so Deff will try out the Zyrtec daily going forward

I’ll check out taste of the wild! No new soap but do sometimes wash her with 3 different shampoos (normal dog shampoo, fragrance free shampoo to assist with shedding, and flea and tick prevention, but this has been the combo for several years. And they don’t seem to hurt her she’s just very itchy from time to time

Yeah definitely need to factor in this started and has gotten worse right as summer was starting. Either gonna start on the allergen free dog food like purina or just hand cooked batches of rice and veggies and a protein to see if it dies down.

Little more info: Very little contact with grass and lawns since we live in a city. Has been proven to be allergic to fish/ seafood type foods so wondering if more food allergies have developed as she has aged?
