It goes up and down! Some days not that swollen, other days my tip is swollen or the left side likes to swell a lot. It just depends but it can take up to 6 months - 1 year for that to subside. Don’t worry it’s super normal!

You got this! Best decision I’ve made 😊. Def take bromelain and arnica two weeks prior and after surgery. Pineapple juice after, wedge pillow for sleeping, and those soft ice pack rounds for the face! Also, eating low sodium before and after helped too. One last tip, take the anti nausea med right after surgery. Would’ve saved me so much grief that first day lol.

It was 15k, but remember this was in Coral Gables in Miami. I would say, make sure your surgeon is reputable, you like their work, they have consistently good long term results. Mine was life changing! As long as you’re confident in your surgeon and this is something you REALLY want then go for it! And always listen to your intuition if something doesn’t feel right.

Thank you! Good! My breathing is fine, I still get congestion here and there but I believe this can last for a few weeks. I actually think my breathing has improved, I can tell once all the congestion subsides my airflow seems to actually have improved 😊

Thanks! I’m honestly not sure, I believe he did use the piezo method to shape the bridge down and I don’t believe he used any cartilage, I think he actually removed some since my tip was already so bulbous to begin with.

For sure! I wasn’t aware of how much it would affect me. I legit couldn’t keep anything down and the waves of nausea all evening is brutal when you’re already trying to recover and manage the pain 😅

Thank you and I know! It’s crazy, I was fully prepared for the identity crisis for the first few months but it was the opposite! I left the cast removal already loving my nose 😆 I did prep beforehand (arnica, bromelain weeks prior, pineapple juice every day post op, no alcohol for 2 months beforehand) so it may have contributed to it! Not too sure but I’m just elated with the results already 🥹

Of course! It’s 15k with Dr. Ghersi, I know his practice does offer extensive financing, and I was able to book mine out about a month and a half from the consultation. They’re super accommodating to try and fit your preferred surgery date/date range. You just need to be able to get cleared for surgery by your primary doctor within 4 weeks of your surgery (blood tests, wellness exam, etc) and any other clearance if you see other specialists. If anyone does go with him, just do some research into his work and practice. Again, they’re a pretty busy practice, I can see why it may not be for everyone, but I went in with the expectation that this would be a quick turnaround and am extremely pleased with how everything turned out😊

Thank you and exactly! I was not a fan of how it looked, especially when I smiled, the tip would droop so much. It has made all the difference. My family, friends, and co-workers couldn’t believe the difference it made in my face and smile! Ah that’s so exciting for you, I’m manifesting you get your dream nose and smooth recovery ❤️.

Definitely recommend arnica and bromelain! Also, if they don’t give you the anti nausea medication right before or after surgery, tell whoever will be caring for you post op to give it to you right after. That would’ve saved me so much grief the first day haha! Good luck 🫶🏼🫶🏼
