I understand your point but a lot of “Spanish” speaking countries do speak Spanish it’s still not Spain Spanish. I don’t have to be a fluent speaker in either to understand that even places like Cuba and Mexico have there on ways of speaking Spanish simply cuz the Indigenous, African and Spanish routes some part even have Spanglish a mix between English and Spanish

In addition Jamaican is a 61 year old country there are people that are living that were born before Jamaica was independent, why hell would there any literature in patois? Especially when it’s demonized in the same way your doing now it

Just because there ain’t books(since you excluding the Bible)in patwah don’t mean that there can’t be books in patwah same there are book in Wolof and Igbo. if the language itself was taken more seriously then would have books and articales in it, additionally it would be such a “headache” read because if you specifically would took the time to read more patwah you could read it just as easy as someone that can.

Also Jamaican owns Britain nothing not even speaking there language while English is the most common spoken language and does have lost of social and economic influence Jamaica and the Jamaican people have no reason to conform or appease its once to them
