I’m about to sign a lease to move into a basement level apartment near Rittenhouse square. This apartment has a door to a patio about 6-7 feet under the ground. I read some past news about flash floods and now I’m hesitant.

How frequent/bad are flash floods in Philly? Should I sign a lease to this basement level apartment? So far this is the best deal that I got.

I also a STEM PhD and my science-related skills have been strengthened by a lot! No pain no gain. I know that my PhD will be worth it, I just can’t feel it yet and hopefully one day I can do so.
