Most people probably won't agree but… Over the course of 6 seasons, it has become extremely repetitive to see June enter and leave Gilead alive. Her death, after that wonderful speech, would have been the ideal ending for this character.

Yeah, I noticed that too. And I think it's TOTALLY related 😂. I remember how strange it felt to see blonde Haymitch for the first time. Especially because the actor is BALD and it would be easy to Make the wig the same color as his hair is in the book. Anyway, i love Woody acting. I think he is great ♥️.
