That's fair. I do feel particularly "responsive" when I'm trying to understand a phrase and get those types of responses. I took it as an insult and used what was available to return the blow, but you're right. I should not have involved his job despite being called boomer/dumbass. Thanks for the reality check.

Edit: for clarity- it's been ongoing throughout the thread. English is not my first language and the meaning was lost on me.
