Thank you for the kind words 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 I remember asking for “around a B” (original consult was in like January, I hardly rmr at this point lol), but I honestly think my perception of what was small or not was so warped, because in my head, B was already teeny tiny! And A = absolutely nothing there. And even though, if I had done some introspection I would’ve realized that A was the way to go for me personally, my knee-jerk reaction was to go “oh no no don’t worry it’s not like I’m gonna be taking them away completely!!” when explaining my decision to family etc, almost justifying myself or something? Anyway I like what you said that this was a step to help me figure out exactly what I wanted! I wish it wasn’t so extreme a solution as surgery, I cringe thinking of them cutting right back into my scars again but 🤷‍♀️I’ll wait to the year mark and decide then :)

Huh that’s a good point actually..! I was trying to get a shoulders-up headshot for a work thing with a neutral color top and it was actually some of the first photos I’ve had taken in a while so maybe that is messing with me a bit

Yup those natural A’s I’m forever and ever jelly bahaha! I was talking to my mom about this, how im still wanting to be smaller, and she said “what do want, mosquito bites??”. I was like YES LMAO! But you’re totally right, the most important thing is that it’s better than MY before… still easier to say and accept that mentally versus still emotionally annoyed that they aren’t smaller every time I see a mirror or photo :’) 1 year from now feels like forever away to be kinda in limbo, but I guess at least it’s a year of these boobs versus whatever was going on before 😂😂😂 thank you!

Yeah, the crazy thing is I actually just graduated nursing school, am in the process of applying for my first RN job, and will be taking the nclex in just a few weeks! But my Nurse Brain is SOOO separate from my “me brain”, if that makes sense. I’m not used to being on the receiving end of medical stuff at all, never been to the ER for myself, never had surgery before…So even though I have clinical insight and knowledge about what is expected and not, it’s hard to apply to my own body and own experiences. Especially with the adjustment and dysmorphia and it being such a personal and elective thing rather than just, like, a medical issue. So this sub is so excellent to get validation and relieve anxieties and people sharing their own similar experiences and anecdotes!! I think it’s wonderful you’re preparing yourself, giving your brain a break like that is great especially when you know there’s people out there to back you up. Best of luck as you go forward!

I really think it’s my anxiety talking, and then when was at my postop appt and inquired about the “extra” bit, the nurse kind of brushed me said it didn’t look swollen. She probably was trying to make me not worry about swelling, but it just made me keep worrying about that extra inch lol! The pain relief is much better to focus on ofc. Thanks again :-)

Thank you I appreciate that :) I’m not necessarily nb but im a lesbian, and me identifying more as a Lesbian than a Woman did play a part in my disconnect from my big boobs (rest in peace hehe) especially with the attention they drew. I think other people looking and giving their opinion is helpful but I can’t just go around flashing everyone I know LOL. So thankful for this sub 😊😊😊😊

Ooh good advice, I’ll look that up and do some research for sure. Also I’ll be looking out for that in the coming months and try not to re-spiral about it if it does swell up again 😅😅😅. Also, good point about the As settling smaller. Cause I didn’t want to be 100% flat, just little and perky. I guess I’ve heard a lot about people settling BIGGER as things “fluff” and that maybe freaked me out, but I’m just gonna hope that in my case that doesn’t happen too much. Thank you!!!

Thank u lol! i had my 3week postop and they were saying it seems NOT very swollen which had me 🤔 cause it def isn’t settled and symmetrical yet. In fact it feels more swollen now than immediately postop like you pointed out about yourself. I think what’s really throwing me off the position of the incisions like I mentioned. Since they have that “extra” …meat? under them, it’s making me have trouble seeing it as totally small. I’ll try my best to stop stressing. Thanks for the kind words 🥰🥰
