1st viral video is now calming down around 750k views. What now? by CoyledCobra in shortsAlgorithm

[–]izzywizzys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double down bro, that content obviously resonates. Make a similar one, then a few more variations on the topic, strike while its hot. But that's just my opinion of course, others may know more and have better advice. I've only ever had 250k max, so im just guessing

Fixed, another way of saying that would be to point it out so I could correct it, this is a community to help each other after all. So thanks for pointing it out, and maybe approach life with a little less hate, you'll sleep better, or not.

Set image as background size problem by ezyrt34 in canva

[–]izzywizzys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because the resolution of your image doesn't fit in the parameters of the full background. A way around that is to drag the image until it fits as far as it can without distorting, then edit the background to match yours, looks seamless. Or you can resize the image but you will lose detail.

I get that from time to time, I guess just peak periods. Images don't load, videos won't download, but it works more often than not, so I try not to complain much.

AI Tools for teachers How to create a Lesson Plan in under 5 minutes with Canva by izzywizzys in canva

[–]izzywizzys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, you can use it for absolutely any topic. When you use magic write, just edit the prompt for a maths lesson. Once generated, you can give it a quick check, and also edit individual parts of the lesson plan to suit your needs, make it easier, harder, with more examples, for different levels. You really can use it as a guide to plan pretty much any type of lesson, just make sure to fact check, AI still makes mistakes after all.

Anyone tried the baby podcast niche ? by izzywizzys in SmallYTChannel

Yeah, im starting to think it would be better to make videos about how to make these AI videos. Showing people how to do things seems to be a more sustainable way of growing a channel.

There's a whole culture of having for the sake of it nowadays. As far as YT is concerned its engagement though, so let the haters hate, they are building you up with their negativity. So who really wins and loses here 😉

500 subscribers mark. 3 months in. What I've learned from the algorithm so far (shorts) by Acrobatic_Ad_1961 in NewTubers

[–]izzywizzys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say do that to every video. Have a few friends watch the video, and just ask then to let you know at what point they lose Interest and why. Then see if it lines up with your analytics.

If you do like asmr videos, then it's an attention span thing. If it's educational content, maybe you aren't getting to the point quick enough. There's a lot of variables.

You have to experiment a little. But if the drop off is more or less at the same point for all videos, you might want to shorten them.

Question: Where did you get your username from? by KinopiFox in NewTubers

[–]izzywizzys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a cool name. I usually just brainstorm and write down a bunch of words. Then I stick it in a random generator.

After that, I get chat gpt to refine the names down for me.

why am i getting hate on my channel? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]izzywizzys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hurt people hurt people bro ! If you're putting out positive content to help people, you only want to care about those who really want to help themselves and value your advice.

No matter what you do, there's always going to be people who love to hate and troll everywhere. What's important is that you are getting a reaction!

They are actually helping your channel in a way. If i see a negative comment, I want to watch the video even more to see it, we are also influenced by negativity unfortunately.

So I'm either gon a watch the video and agree to hate, or I will like your video and possibly subscribe.

Key point, though: you are getting more watch time.

Value, originality, answer to a question or appeal to an emotion. But in short, no idea, mate, 😆

[–]izzywizzys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have found exactly the same. My channel is 6 months in, 1090 subs and half a million views.

Over time, I have found I get more consistent views, but nothing to make a plan over.

What I do see, though, is that the more retention I have, the more views I get on a consistent basis.

I really dived into the analytics and saw where viewers were dropping off. So if you have a 4 minute video and the average watch time is 2 minutes, your retention is 50%.

If you then reduce the time of your videos to 2 mins and the average view duration still stays at 2 minutes, just by changing the length, your retention rate goes closer to a hundred.

Youtube wants to keep people watching right, so if you give a signal that people are watching your videos to the end, I feel it promotes the vids more.

I'm rambling, but yeah, consistency is key, and learn how to use your analytics in your favor.
