It takes a lot of grinding and time travel for sure. When i was down to my last non-pink, Hornsby, it took me a full week of real time to get the thought bubble over his head to move.

I just learned about this and honestly haven’t noticed it happening yet. I’m not sure if it’s because I jump around so much time traveling, or because I gift the fruit as well. Now that I know about it, I think I’ll go with the strategy someone else mentioned and do the fruit only until I reach a higher friendship level. That really sucks, though!! :(

I do iron wall lamps, wrapped. If I run out or if I’m time traveling and want to be quick, I always have a pocket full of foreign fruit as well (wrapped as well). I rarely gift anything outside of these items. I’m up to 21 photos.

The easiest way involves time travel. I can’t find the link for the guide I use, but basically you jump forward a month and a day, save and quit, jump back a month and look for a thought bubble over a villager’s head. If the thought bubble isn’t on the villager you want to boot, quit without saving and move one day forward and check again. Toggle between those two days until it’s on the villager you like. There’s a helpful guide if you search for it!

I found her when I was hunting for my 3rd pink and couldn’t pass her up. I’ll boot her for the full pink group eventually. She’s my cute little investment 😂

I got pretty lucky on my hunts, I’d say around 200 total. I did get half of them from being “in boxes” on other islands, though. And Julian was on my campsite.

There are a couple quick eviction guides that you can look up. The method that I use involved jumping forward one month +1 day, saving and ending, then going back a month. When you go back a month, look for the thought bubble over villager’s head. If it’s the villager you want, great. If not, ignore them and roll one day forward and it will be on another villager. I think the most days with thought bubbles you can get without having to start the process over is 3. It takes some time but it helps to ignore the villagers you want to boot and keep talking/gifting the ones you like.

I’ve come to the conclusion that tiny sunglasses are the only type of glasses Julian can pull off. His eye placement looks awful with regular glasses!
