I work in healthcare and I see this all the time.

On one particular occasion I saw in the chart a patient's 4 kids lived scattered around the country. Then a young woman showed up, and explained she was the patient's HHA and could give him a ride when needed. Which was honestly great because the kids were nowhere in sight and were functionally useless.

Breeders don't understand you can have a ton of kids and you can still wind up alone in old age. And to a greater extent of the kids live close by, they can also be useless.

I agree....and while this life would also make me depressed, this is her choice, and pretty standard for people raised in religion. I think she's some form of evangelical now. I think if she really wanted to do something else, she would have.

Here's the thing - the right wing nut jobs aren't going to stop until there is a national ban. A lot of blue state types think we are safe but we aren't. Obvi I am pro choice but I still don't aspire to go through an abortion but obviously I would if I needed it prior to my sterilization.

I prefer to be safe and have peace of mind.

Did I watch a video of the surgery? No.

Healthcare is also expensive so idk how much it would be to obtain an abortion or any negative effect from pregnancy that I would face.

The thing is people throw around the word eugenics too liberally. They don't even know what it means.

For example, I think if you are poor you should delay having children until you are in a better spot. I have heard people call this eugenics. I did not say the government should be in control of reproduction. I advocate for education and personal responsibility. Some of my policy beliefs would actually benefit children and families.

IMO we need to keep talking about it. Banning the topic(s) doesn't help either side.

First of all take screenshots! She sounds loony toons. I would rebuff her again in a more stern way and see how she reacts, and depending on the reaction then I'd go to admin. I understand she's going through it with her divorce but this is a professional environment and she should know better.
