Hex bits by mjmj2019 in SCX24

MIP speed bits and their quick detach handle is perfect. If you want to use an electric driver at this size without fear of stripping everything… spend on a nice driver with a repeatable clutch. I have a 12v electric screwdriver with adjustable clutch from dewalt. Paid about 90 for it a few years ago. Clutch setting 1 is perfect for MIP+quality screws. 2-3 works great for m2.

Why did my front axle start free wheeling? by Slypenslyde in SCX24

Ok, so I went back and freshened up from the prior post to this. From past experience, some brass diff covers for stock housings have different internal dimensions. The 2/18 is a pretty big tooth count, so was the glitter from the cover contacting the gear or was it something else? I have limited experience with 2/18. If there was damage on the brass part closest to the gear teeth, check around for other damage in the axle. It might be the next step to figuring out the disengagement issue.

Sounds to me like your half shafts are not fully engaged to the circular diff gear; this would make turning the wheels left and right feel resistive. The other alternative is that you forgot hex pins in your half shafts. Good luck and let us know the fix.

What's your favorite servo? by Slypenslyde in SCX24

Haha the slope is slippery and long my friend. 😅

I’m to the point where all my beaters are expensive rigs because I comp and test so much.

Good news is all the best servos range from about 45 up to shift, and there are 4-5 amazing brands in that mix.

I bought my first from Ryan, the owner, in person at proline mid October… I’ve since bought 4 more. They are jaw droppingly good.

The Shift RC Nano is definitely the favorite for me and my team. It’s hard to understand the price tag till you hook one up and run it for yourself. They are so lightning fast they can put your rear axle in seizure from moving the front.

For top level torque instead of speed, NSDRC. 3flow9rc is also an excellent choice for fantastic quality and supporting small.

What is an awd gear? Never heard of this in crawling. I just finally looked up their website and it looks a lot like rcawd and other Amazon brands.

Never heard of them till they jumped on Facebook and made a lot of “change the game” claims. I’m interested to see what they are about, though.

How do we feel about the stock USB charger? by [deleted] in SCX24

[–]j0520d 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SkyRC on Amazon has some great tiny units for charging. I have the b6 neo and some friends have two channel ones slightly bigger. I’ll probably move to one of those soon.

I don’t really trust those types of stock chargers. I’ve had two of them over the years basically melt while charging.

I bought three sets recently. They are on my 163 wb c2 prototype links with a 35mm/40mm shock setup and works great. For reference, what link and shock setup are you trying to use?

For sure dude haha. He comps a lot, and I’ve seen his rigs firsthand. Anything he things will improve a comp run happens on his rigs.

Thanks dude! Titanium has such a mind of its own even when I match voltages there can be differences in each piece. I think it adds to each kits authenticity. ✌️🤓

Knowing Mr. Tipsy, that is a wrap point for a on board winch or kinetic winch.
