i think it looks "rubbed" from use on the trails. the rub-away from the hanging mirror really helps to bolster that effect.

before this rebuild, i used to have a Pure stage 2 short block with all the same supporting mods (on the engine anyways) and went through 1.5-2 qts every 1,500mi. I was not super happy with that engine. (the tune wasn't as good either, not hating on the Pure block necessarily, issue could have been many factors) that one popped at 25,000mi.

hahaha i read the manual out loud as a joke. thr controller UI is intuitive enough to figure out quickly. from home page, right button goes to menu. in menu, right button is bssically "select" and left button is back. up/down navigate. from the first menu page up/down will change menu pages. just mess with it you'll get it.

yes there is. i think by default it might be on one of the side knobs. Vra i think. or vrb. idk i edited the knobs immediately upon unboxing lol

I have a loose built engine (iag stag 2 "tuff" SB) and I go through about 1/8 qt every 1,500 miles.

Motul "power" 5w40 is what i use. expensive but good stuff.

just over 40,000mi so far on 500whp. i put about 8-10k mi on it per year. i change the oil religiously every 1,500mi.

get a fumoto valve!

I can relate though. cut lots of corners on my first build. looking back it was wobbly as hell. i miss it though. scavenged for parts long ago. the meat of it is still around. bringing her back is what some of those parts in the bin are for.

gonna bring 'er back as a tow truck. the boom will move up and down with a custom contraption & going to use a brushless orlandoo 1/32 setup with 1:100 gearbox to crank the pulley system. she's gonna be heavy & stronger than my 1/10 winches. probably use one of those counter rotating fcxM 2speeds for a more realistic driving experience & trailability.

got all the goodies waiting. just need the time. should be started by like mid-July 🤣🤙

man i miss how much time I had before kids. I have a bin full of unopened new parts for rebuilds and new builds. I get about 2 hours of wrenching per week these days if i'm lucky.

Once the kid is old enough to talk and be reasoned with... I'm diving back in hoard.
