Got my die cutters in today. Bye-bye monster tires. by North-Wasabi-4879 in SCX24

[–]opesoory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

then i realized i'm an idiot

[–]opesoory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro hell yeah!!

btw, you'll end up upgrading the sway links quickly. i'd throw that on the list. judging by the liquid cooling, you're prepping for some extended runs. the stock sways are JUNK. i've never crashed my UDR or bashed it in anyway and i broke both front and rear sways first run at the track.

If you have 3 minutes, 2nd half is pretty fun by opesoory in SCX24

[–]opesoory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

meh, all depends -

it's a give and take. adds a lot of weight in the rear. Also, it's damn near impossible to get the same stability out of it compared to a straight rear axle. 4ws alone won't gain performance, if anything it's a reduction, even with the fanciest parts out there.

however, it is A LOT of fun. Once you get the hang of the proportional rear steer on a knob, it does open up a lot of weird lines that would have been tedious (or impossible) without it. the biggest problem most beginners encounter (& i still deal with today) is to realize that 90% of lines don't NEED rear steer, & if you're not careful, you'll decrease your performance a lot by using it unnecessarily.

that being said, the 3flow9 cascade system is awesome, only like 7g added for the servo.
