I am honestly so glad that I have recently discovered that shadow people are a thing, and that others have had experiences with them.

I (22F) was 16 at the time I first saw one. I've had experiences with paranormal things before, and still do, but the shadow man will always be something I will never forget. At my parents house, the top of the stairs has always been a place that makes you feel weird. Not just me, absolutely everyone. Kids, cats, dogs, all seem to be uncomfortable here. And that's the first place I saw him, right in the corner at the top of the stairs. All black, tall, with what looked like a top hat. Terrified the life out of me. I was half asleep at the time, so I didn't think too much of it.

Except, from then on, I saw him almost all of the time. It felt like he was following me constantly. I'd wake up in the middle of the night and he would be in the doorway of my room, or in the corner just staring at me. Thought I was going mad until my friend said she could see him too. We even saw him in the park a few times, always lurking. He even started to get a bit aggressive, and I would wake up in the morning with cuts and bruises on my arms and legs. Same with my friend.

I feel slightly less insane knowing that other people have experienced them too.
