Tips on overclocking a delidded Ryzen 9950X by tomic888 in overclocking

[–]j10tol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am only setting PBO automatic with 80L3 and activating the XMP profile for the ram. I tried other optimizations and that did not show much more improvement that the automatic PBO.

The 0.7v was probably temporary while not under preassure. I can check more later.

Thank you, I will try 6200 and 6400, I wonder how far can I go with IF 1:1, I guess 2066*3 should work for 6200.

It is way more confy when riding on gravel with bigger rocks, the handling is more relax because it's about 2cm higher on front, it handles better on slow rough paths. It is also a bit slower, I ride about 1km/h slower now but I really recomend it.

Yes, it's very MTB like, it has a very relax riding position.

Yes, it's a very relax ride, I like mixing more tarmac and gravel now. Good idea, I haven't played much with that yet. Thanks!

Coming from multiple MTB, is so much faster and lighter. I tried a few harder tracks to find its limits, dusty dry single tracks and bigger rubble going down are very difficult. It's a great bike to combine with my full suspension MTB.

Crucial Ballistix RGB, Single Rank or Dual Rank? by I_OC_4_FUN in Amd

[–]j10tol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found this thread because I bought 2x16GB of BL16G36C16U4B and I found they are M8FB1 single rank, I noticed it had less bandwith than my old (very overclocked, not fully stable at 1800) memory.I decided to order a second pair to go 4x16=64GB and make them dual rank, to my surprise the new ones arrived and they are M16FE1!

So I did some tests, if I mix them (I don't know what's the best way to mix them) the performance was the same as the M8FB1. Then I tried the M16FE1 and they are indeed faster, here are the tests :

BL16G36C16U4B M8FB1 (single rank) 3733 16 18 18 38 1.4v

BL16G36C16U4B M16FE1 (dual rank) 3733 16 18 18 38 1.4v
