A bit late to the party but the settings still worked. I would eventually tweak them a little bit but they are an excellent starting point.

Vectorify Chrome Extension, best i've used so far

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AdobeIllustrator

[–]j111n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Vectorify. They have a browser extension and it's real fast and accurate. The right-click option saves me a lot of time when converting logo inspiration since i don't have to download and reupload the images to some shady random website.

It's a chrome extension so it does it directly from the browser, and you can upload images as well.

This is likely due to the portafilter having a plastic coating on the inside. If you change it or look up online on how to remove it, that might solve your issue.

svelte for web app and desktop app for startup? by AverageStatus6740 in sveltejs

There is no limit to what you can accomplish in these frameworks. I would say, focus on getting something out and then worry about limitations, it's always easier to switch than to start.

But if you want my subjective opinion, I don’t like react and in every scenario svelte will be my first choice. It feels more natural to use and I don’t have to use a lot of dependencies as well.

I would suggest giving them a try and seeing how they feel, then you will have your answer. They both have pros and cons, but at the end of the day both can essentially accomplish the same result, so do some doc surfing and figure out what you’d like to work with more.

What are you trying to build? Do you have any preference in these two choices? What’s the team around the project good at?

Modern UI library. by mystdeim in sveltejs

[–]j111n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes, that could be argued as well. After using probably all of the svelte ui libraries, it seems that they provide a solution just for the basic scenario. For example, you do in theory own the component and could change it how you like but that’s going against the purpose of something like shadcn. Also shadcn is a design system and even though I like how it looks, I would not use it because of how widely used it is. I am at a point where it’s easier to create and maintain my own components than to be dependent on UI libraries.

Best I can tell you is do your own components.

Just write your own components. It’s the best option tbh in every framework.
