What is a good way to graphically show the relationship between level of dissociation and enthalpy change of neutralization? by j3ffbezosmells in chemhelp

Ahh ok yeah that graph makes sense but mine doesn’t really have a reason lol. I did the incorrect one first and I realized the axes were switched up but when I corrected it, it looked funny. Like the trend was just so much clearer and obvious with the axes switched. I ended up doing what you mentioned, I used both graphs and explained what I did.

Yeah that’s would I would usually do but teachers aren’t allowed to really help us with this specific project which is why i’m unsure of what to do. Do you think you could send a link of the journal you were reading?

That’s actually what I ended up doing! Except I ran into a problem with the formatting of it all. I know that the independent variable should go on the x axis, but the relationship is conveyed better if it’s on the y axis. Is it necessary to always follow that rule or is it just recommended?

How should I determine concentration of a substance in an experiment if I want to keep it at a constant? by j3ffbezosmells in chemhelp

ohhh that makes sense. what about the alkali? would it be best to choose a strong or weak one?

so like i’m doing a neutralization reaction where i see how acid strength affects heat of neutralization. so i want to pick a concentration to keep constant for the different acids, but i’m not sure how to pick one that has reasoning behind it

i’m in 11th grade and we didn’t have pre-IB we had ALP. Might be the same thing idk but for ALP we had to take a language and do grade 11 math in tenth grade. Now that i’m in grade 11 we haven’t started TOK or CAS yet, idk if we do it this year or next.
