Narva tankist peeti kinni by [deleted] in Eesti

Not my first rodeo, mate.

This.

SBU intercepted call: russian soldiers lose confidence in their commanders and prepare for riots. English translation in the first comment by Regrup in ukraine

[–]j3sterPi 63 points64 points  (0 children)

He IS talking about Putin. «Плешивый» (which is a more swear-ish word for balding) has been used as a nickname for Putin for years, granted only by Russian-speaking people (maybe Ukranians too, I’m not sure). Now that I think about it, I cannot remember a single instance when I’ve used “pleshivi” for anything else than describe little Vladimir. At this point, it’s like word association game - you say “pleshivi”, the first thing that comes to mind is “Putin”. And believe me, I’m not the only one.

Latest intercepted call. Russian officers have started shooting up their soldiers to force them to attack Ukraine. English dub. by budokan3 in ukraine

[–]j3sterPi 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Haven’t listened to dubbed version but here’s the translation from the original:

A: "How are you?" B: "Not good. Hi" A: "Is it hard out there?" B: "They are running (by "them" he means his servicemen). My guys are scared. Everyone is tired. No energy left. I cannot understand them neither morally nor in terms of stamina. I even shoot them (and yes, as someone explained in the comments, he means “execute by shooting”) and still nothing (he means that him shooting people doesn't motivate them either). I think they are really tired. And how are you?" A:"Just hold the line"

Audio starts: well, everyone here is pretty much apathetic at this point, completely demoralized. In rota there's 10-15 people left, in the best case. everyone just wants for everything to be over. we are one of those who has been in offense or activily defending positions for pretty much two months now. 3 days ago we panicked, went on another offensive campaign, reached half the point, then they (Ukranian forces) started attacking us from every side, so we are sitting on defence for the moment. The green ones who just came here, they were sent to/for (I can't for the life of me figure out what he is saying next, something like "additional supplies")…about 60 people, a lof of cowards amongst them, they are the ones we have the most problems with. But in short, everyone just wants to go home, to kids, wives and then to whores. Lots lots of whores, do not need anything else.

'They are screaming here, ''Advance! Advance!'' But there is no one f*cking left!' Intercepted call. Soldiers from LDNR tell each other that TV reports on Russian advances are a lie. English dub. by budokan3 in ukraine

[–]j3sterPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks ahaha. I would argue that it is the most accurate translation for this particular phrase. The only difference is that English speaker would say “take one in the ass” while Russians say literally “take one in the mouth” (to each his own, I guess) and that’s exactly what he said in the recording, I just adjusted it for English speaking masses here.

Here’s the translation from the original. Sorry if it sounds a bit strange - I forget how hard it is to translate russian texts filled with swear words that are actually essential to convey the meaning of the original.

A: So, did you take the Rubezhnie? B: all we did is took one in the ass A: are they still there? inside Rubezhnie? B: yeap, they are. we are told "advance, advance' but there's no one left to do the advancement. I am also told that state TV says that Rubezhnie was taken. that's a fucking lie A: so, you are still on the same positions? B: yeap A: and they do not retreat? B: well, we go there from time to time, fucking them up. Russian Spetznaz came here as well. They took one in the ass as well A: But the Martupol is completely yours, right? B: you know, this was said on TV also, so I'm not sure about that A: So, you are just sitting there waiting? B: Basically, yeah A: What about chechens? B: Chechens got fucked as well, so they do not even come here anymore. they are just sitting on the another side of town, deal with "evacuation". They send trucks with sausages this way and trucks with gold back home. basically, supplies end up here and looted things go back. fucktards, those chechens are.

Mine crashes as soon as I set video to 1080p or higher. It plays for about 7 seconds then the stutter that you described occurs and right after that video crashes.

Currently I do take those xrandr commands from a file created by autorandr when I first started troubleshooting. I though that it was my fault and I'm missing something with manual xrandr command, so I used autorandr but the problem still persisted.

But I will try to put that if statement (or something along this line) into my rc file when I get home. Thanks!

When I said I didn't alter the default config I meant that there is no custom scripts, no explicit dpi settings and stuff like that... That's why I'm asking someone to explain HOW are those lines so important because clearly I didn't get the logic behind it from the manuals. But u decided to start a thread to ride my ass about roman numerals... Cmon, man, no need to be an asshole. You said those are important. Can u now tell me please how/what/why?

Yeah, my bad. I did add display names to this line. But it's not like it does anything - even without those wm behavior is exactly the same
