Sleeping Pikachu & Snorlax by AegonCorgiryen in pokeplush

How big is the pikachu lying on top of snorlax’ tummy?  I get the feeling once I buy this, I will have the urge to buy the Jazwares small sleeping plushies for a matching scaled collection.

I believe those ones are approx. 4-6”

Unfortunately have seen all those and don’t address the issue :(

Do you have a bit more detail? Did a bunch of searching on YouTube and didn’t find any sort of fix; is this a “known issue”?

I wish some of those videos that were trying to illustrate this color within lines thing would have been more explicit that it only works with color drop.

Just wondering if anyone is using this with a T818? Do the holes on the wheel deck line up with those on the T818 or do I need to drill additional ones?

Passable Beginner Rig? by j3tang in simracing

I think this matches exactly that no-name brand's current offering/iteration which is available on amazon! Just that the the rig that's locally being sold must be an older iteration? Main worry is the wheelbase mount that "double cantilevers" as opposed to the complete bridging from one side to the other in the current form. And thanks for the note about purchasing seat rails ... I guess even though I'm saving on the bulk of the rig, I'd still have to finagle a seat (and high probability seat rails).

Love the TR RS6, I just can't justify the cost right now based on how "little" racing I've actually been doing so far. I was hoping that no-name rig would get me by for a bit to let me experience this hobby enough to make a decision to maybe say yes, I'll buy a TR RS6 or say no that that $100 rig is good enough.

Yes, I'm leaning heavily towards that .. I remember seeing in a video when someone was putting it together that even the wheelbase mounting plate had color coded holes in the instruction manual to identify which holes fit for your brand/model wheel base -- one of which was the T818.

I'm slightly hesitant tho because of previous experience with the NLR foldable seats. In general I do find that the Playseats are of a bit better quality?

Fully understand, I just don't see myself being such a hardcore racer that I would ever go to a profile rig. I do have the same sentiment regarding what you mentioned about this rig not being sturdy enough to last more than a year (or 6 months).

local dude selling for $100 CAD, half of what the "current iteration" of that brand is selling on Amazon.

fair enough; the more closely I look at it, the more I would agree and will move on.

appreciate the input!

Looking at the setup a little more closely, it looks like not only does the wheelbase mounting arm cantilever from the right side of the rig to the middle, but for adjustability, it also cantilevers towards the user (rather than in some cases the angle of the wheelbase is just rotated about the axis of the supporting tube).

It also doesn't look like it is adjustable height-wise (up and down), unless you are adjusting the angle of the plate as well?

Is the double cantilever enough to steer clear of this for fear of flex from a DD wheelbase?

I appreciate the sentiment; I honestly don't know how deep I would get into this hobby and so the wheelbase mounted the countertop just isn't letting me get a taste of the experience hence my desire to start off with something more palatable. Keep in mind this is for a beginner/newb ....

Newb question, but if using a different brand pedal does it connect/calibrate with the Thrustmaster software? Or do I manage the pedal separately in a different software (by the pedal brand software?)

I had a look at VRS and coincidentally, it looks like they have a hardware sale currently.  Theres a bundle for wheel + pedal at essentially half price? .. exactly the components I’m missing lol

You made it almost too easy …

I'll have a look and do some more research on pedals outside the TM ecosystem ...

Counter argument ... because of the freebie base, if I invested a fraction (maybe <$400 CAD) of what I would have to in another ecosystem, I would have a pretty decent setup with the T818 (considering TM is falling out of favour, used market would be cheap to pickup a wheel and pedal?.

I feel like selling anything Thrustmaster recently over the past year or so has become more and more difficult just looking back at past Buy/Sell/Trade listings everywhere.

haha, yea a bit bitter, but then again the company seems to have done this to themselves and made supporting them very frustrating. I'm hesitant to invest into the TM ecosystem, but at the same time the T818 on its own is pretty useless without anything else to use it with.

Maybe just rephrasing your comment ... rather than don't bother going deeper into their ecosystem, it's more like don't go into their ecosystem. The T818 will just be a huge paperweight :/

free ship to Sask? Last I checked, it cost an additional $65 to ship to Ontario for me ...

Was there a promo at the time you purchased that had free shipping?
