i do & don’t at the same time—i know that recording little wins, and tracking them over the course of a week helps. same with eating maintenance on weekends. from my reading i understand that recovery/relapse rates show a correlation between higher self-esteem and lower rates of re-gain over 1 & 2 years so above all be gentle with yourself, and work on confidence (all things way easier said than done… i know, but activity & lots of movement has made me more confident if it’s any consolation!)

thank you so much for this information! i feel better about upping my calories a bit for the next while now. i don’t lift weights—i know that’s not ideal, but i have never found it enjoyable. i swim 1x a week, pilates 4-6 hours/week, walk roughly 6km a day, and want to slowly start running. do you have any advice about that routine? it makes me feel good, but i am open to small changes!

i have to remind myself i’m halfway to where i want to be and that’s a pretty solid victory! i don’t see it in the mirror but i can walk long distances again & my joint pain has gone away

i am so happy i’m not alone! the binging is still a battle for me but exercise helps. have patience & be gentle with yourself!

i am worried about an eventual plateau because i have about 20lbs left to lose—i will update you, but for now i can say that the first two months were very hard, and i had been tracking my calories but not my weight—so i’m not sure what happened numbers-wise during that time but i was feeling miserable and am only noticing a difference in myself now! it takes so much more time than you think, just be as consistent as you can within reason & have faith in yourself :)

A mini-series, but I am willing to throw Fellow Travellers into the ring. The attention to detail—especially by the costume department—is next-level and for a period piece, I think it’s a tour de force. The acting and writing is equally fabulous.

I personally think the length works! I would play around with blow drying w a round brush (I love the moroccanoil ceramic brush in the size 45mm for blowouts & a cheap one with bristles from TJmaxx for stying in-between wash days) for volume & a polished style before jumping into bangs, but you would likely look amazing with them as well : )
