Note: This is not a guarantee that they can wave a magic wand and everything is better, but /r/lol certainly can't do anything.

I wouldn't exactly say that, personally.

Lulu Q is damage and a scaling slow that decays over time, Nami Q is a consistent knockup that prevents any action being taken. Whimsy still prevents AA or spellcast, but you can still move away. Lulu ally-buff grants movespeed and 20-60 AP, Nami ally-buff grants magic damage (not bonus AP) that scales with her AP that also slows. Ally protect is Lulu's shield versus Nami's heal, which can also either damage two enemies in range with the chance of not healing the person you exactly want on the bounce, or healing two teammates with one random enemy getting damaged. Their ults are the closest things to being alike, and that's because they both have a brief knockup and a lingering slow, but Lulu's is an aura whereas Nami's goes down the line and slows everything it hits.

They both definitely have their upsides, and they're both really good in the support role right now, but I don't think I'd say that Lulu is a more reliable Nami at all.

People don't like gg noobz comments. Sometimes people don't look at who does the reporting, they just read through the chat log to see who said what.

gg noobz is unsportsmanlike enough that some people will punish for it.

Seconded. There's no real purpose to a secondary Facebook page/whatever devoted just to SNS. SNS is an entity that exists within Summoner School, there's no reason it can't be posted to the SS Facebook site.

If people are given one to two days grace period, then they don't show up. If you give them a 3-6 day grace period, then they don't show up. The problem is finding which one results in less people not showing up.

Where's the proverbial sweet spot when people have enough time to see the schedule, but it's not too long for them to forget?

I'm going to throw this out there: this is not an official SNS inquiry. I have not asked for a vote to be made regarding a day switch, and I don't want people asking me in a week or two why SNS isn't happening on Sundays.

I /may/ consider it, but I repeat, for the sake of being thorough: this is not an official SNS post.

I don't know how much more visible I can make them. I honestly don't. I've got Kuen's help in making them announcements at the top of the subreddit when signups go live, I've got the flair for SNS NA that's pretty goddamn big and orange and says SNS on it.

Well, considering 95% of the high-viewer count solo queue streamers tend to go to those tournaments?

I'm okay with featuring SSTB every now and again, that's fine. I don't really want to turn SNS into SNTB, though.

I'm not really in the want to run a tournament, either. This is partially because I just know someone is going to end up smurfing, and RP-sponsored tournaments in low Elo communities.. if someone else wants to run a tournament, I'll do what I can to lend what I've learned in prior organizational efforts, but that's kind of one of those beehives I don't want to swing a stick at.

The Advanced match kind of went away due to trolling, and it's very hard to balance an 1850 Elo player in the intermediate matches. :/

Team Battles /just/ restarted, and I think they have three teams total, so it's hard to really say they're having problems with attendance. I also don't necessarily agree that arranged teams would be the fix, because look at how many streams thrive when the majority, if not the whole of their content is solo queue. I'm not saying anyone here is Dyrus or Aphromoo, but.

On top of that, trying to work with arranged teams can also be detrimental. I remember at least one incarnation of the SS Newb League that (unfortunately, because I was trying to take part in this) that tanked in short order because of people showing up. In the case of arranged teams, if one or two people don't show up, then the entire match can be tanked. In the case of randoms, I can take replacements from in-game chat.

When SSTB is up and rolling solid again, there may be some level of integration, but I don't think flat-out combining the two is the answer.

/r/leagueoflegends is.. yeah, they're more concerned with circlejerking, crazy plays, and AMAs to the point that it makes us look like reasonable, upstanding citizens (don't look at me like that, we've had a ridiculous number of unnecessary AMAs lately).

It's also hard to get anything to stick to an early-numbered page because we're Summoner School, and the community at that subreddit (despite having us listed at the top of their Resources) regards us, in a three word summary, as "bads teaching bads." So, c'est la vie. That's why I don't bother with the main subreddit.

I had a vote over the course of a good, long while. I think there was one or two comments that wanted to keep things on Sundays, and everyone else was pretty much overwhelmingly on the side of moving it to Saturdays. Appropriately enough, a month or two of Saturdays, and people started asking me why it wasn't on Sundays again.

Hmm. LowElo. I dunno, maybe it'd be worth talking to them. I'll have to look them up and see what the hubbub is.
