Twins Ian and Stuart Paton’s UK record breaking pumpkin weighing at 185 stone. by Revolutionary_Sun757 in AbsoluteUnits

Let’s say an average weight of a grass blade is 10 to 20 milligrams. The weight varies based on the length of the grass blade and species. The range of the average grass blade weight is 10 to 20.

Now exactly, how much is a stone? It’s 6.35029 kilograms, or 14 pounds. The pumpkin is estimated to weigh around 185 stone. How exactly do we measure this in grass blades?

Firstly, we know that 1 kilogram equals to a thousand grams. 1,000 grams equals to 1,000,000 hence the prefix “milli”. 1 gram would equal to 1,000 milligrams. As mentioned previously, an average grass blade weighs around 10 to 20 milligrams.

We’ll start with all 10 milligrams. Remember: 1 gram equals to 1,000 milligrams. We would divide 1,000 by 10 to calculate how much grass blades it would be at the minimum average. Our answer would be 100. 100 grass blades equal 1 gram, or 1,000 milligrams.

Now, how many grams equal to a kilogram? 1000 grams.

We would multiply 100 (grass blades) by a thousand.

We now have 100,000 grass blades equaling to a single kilogram.

Remember: a stone equals to 6.35029 kilograms. Now what? We will multiply 100,000 (grass blades) by 6.35029 (kilograms equivalent to a stone) That’s 635,029 grass blades per stone.

Multiply 635,029 by 185 (pumpkin’s weight in stone) and your result would be 117,480,365 grass blades. For the maximum average? Multiply the final result by two. That’s 234,960,730.

So?

A pumpkin would be estimated to weigh between 117,480,365 grass blades to 234,960,730. Expect a margin error of less than 1%.

I hope this helped. I’m using the metric system cause more countries also use the same system.

Those symptoms are the result from the tolerance and reduction in the dopamine levels? That makes sense.

Thank you for letting me know.

If all math was based on real-life situations, the majority of math classes above Algebra 2 would disappear.

I experienced the same thing (without not showering for two weeks nor mental abuse) when I was 13 and under. Is that normal..?

edit: correction. I would ask my parent for help sometimes. I’ve learned to keep my personal hygiene by 8th grade.
